The Auray DUSM-1 Universal Shockmount features a four-point suspension to accommodate shotgun and other cylindrical microphones measuring 0.74-0.98" (19-25mm) in diameter. The shockmount is easily angled with its rubberized adjustment knob. There is a built-in shoe for camera mounting, and a 3/8"-16 thread connection at the base mounts the shockmount to boompoles and universal handgrips.

It's almost the same length with very little lenght to spare. The Cale attached to the mic might bend or rear the prongs. I wouldn't go with this mount shock because you need a little more space to observe shock and strengthen the grip.

What's the measurement in inches between the two suspensions of the DUSM-1?
The length of the Auray DUSM-1 Universal Shockmount from front to back, between the two elastic suspensions is 2.625" (6.7 cm).

I use it with my Rode NTG2 mic. It slides through the flexible mesh and I am able to put the mount on top of a camera shoe. If the NTG5 is anything like the NTG2 you should be fine.

Yes, it has a threaded hole. I usually attach it to a boom pole in that manner. If you are attaching to your camera the mount fits a hot/cold shoe. That might be easier.

Which measurement works with the Azden 250 shotgun mic?
The center circle in the shock mount is what the previous answer refers to with the 21mm diameter. There is enough “give” with that center hole so it gives flexibility with the larger mics. (You will still need to figure out how far your mic extends beyond your camera.)

Yes. However, the longer it is, the more likely it is that it will get in the way of the lens (frame of the camera).
