    Countryman MEMWSFF05BD3 reviews

EMW Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone for Digital Recorders (Black) is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Elegant, simple and quality sound I purchased the Countryman lavalier to use with the Zoom H1 recorder and hoped for an improved sound quality for my corporate videos. I was very pleased with a better than anticipated performance the lavalier provides. My first usage was with an inexperienced talking head who insisted on wearing a shirt with a wide lapel, which flapped a bit while he moved. With the little windscreen provided, not a bit of ruffle or noise came through. Easy to attach and attractive when visible. I just wish the cord was a little longer. Very pleased with the product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product! Finally, a realiable lav mic that fits my needs! I've been needing a good lav mic to hook up to my bride & grooms, as well as Best Man and MOH for the toasts, so I don't have to attach my Zoom H1 to the DJ's mic, or worse rely on the output of the DJ... Great clean sound, so happy I used it for the first time last night at my wedding. With it comes what's called the viper clip, which uses two needles to basically that hook into clothes, very nice and clean as well! But as I was helping the groom mic up, he was tucking the excess wire into his pocket, and he pulled the viper clip straight through my thumb! It was funny though, I just thought you should all know the dangers that lavalier mics can inflict on us cinematographers!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from On first use - superior I was worried a condenser mic would work without phantom power, but this mic is made to work perfectly with Tascam DR-05. It's very subtle, hides under a shirt perfectly and produces superior quality. You'll need to fiddle with your Tascam input level (mine required an input of about 65 vs. via a mixer at 45 for a Senheiser mic) but once you settle in you'll be golden. The side by side audio from a camera vs. this mic into Tascam is great. Camera picks up all kind of ambient noise, this just gets your subject. Very happy with this purchase thus far.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Audio Sound Bought a cheap one for $, returned it, then for $, then returned it. Decided to pay $ for good audio hoping for good quality sound. IT finally met my audio standard for ceremony speeches. I'm very happy with this product. Not only was the officiants voice very Clear , it catches the bride and groom's audio to when they say their vows. I also love how the jack is 90 degree angle. It fits well with my zoonH1! Plus, it's waterproof!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Sounding Mic I have a couple of Tram Tr-50s and picked the Countryman up since I needed another lav. RIght off the bat I noticed that the sensitivity of the Countryman is higher, meaning I can lower the recording level and as a result the noise floor. This is definitely a plus. The Countryman has a nice warm sound while still maintaining sibilance. I think it's a little muddy compared to the Tram, but that can be EQ'd. For me the biggest difference between the Countryman and the Tram is the Tram seems to be made more for hiding under clothes. The Countryman doesn't perform so well. The highs tend to be cut out and it sounds more muffled. Worn outside of clothes, like on a suit jacket, it sounds great. While the Countryman has a lower noise floor than other lavs, I prefer the sound of the Tram TR-50, especially when hiding it under clothes. However, if you aren't hiding the mic and can't afford the Trams, you won't be disappointed. Bottom line, this is going to be a huge improvement to your sound quality if you're still using the standard lavs that come with wireless units.
