Your point and shoot or mirrorless camera will acquire super-telephoto capability when paired with a Swarovski spotting scope, and the DCB II Digiscoping Swing Adapter was designed to allow them to work together. Compatible with ATX/STX series spotting scopes, this thoughtfully engineered device holds your camera securely in place to photograph the image from the spotter's eyepiece. You can easily swing the camera-and-adapter assembly out of the way for viewing through the scope – simply flip up the swing arm to use the spotting scope as normal, then flip down and lock in place to snap a picture or video of that rare butterfly or bullseye downrange. Regardless of the compact camera used, you will capture contrast-rich and sharp digital images using the premium optics of your Swarovski spotting scope.

    Swarovski DCB II reviews

DCB II Digiscoping Swing Adapter for ATX/STX Spotting Scopes is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Digiscoping with your point and shoot While this is a bit complicated to use, one can take some pretty good photographs through your spotting scope. This is designed for Swarovski scopes. Of the point and shoot cameras we have they do not all work well. Cameras whose lenses extends beyond the camera body when zooming will likely not work. Most people with spotting scopes and point and shoot cameras will have the patience needed to learn to use this and the patience to take animal (usually) photographs. the photos will NOT rival magazine shots, but will allow you to capture an image and take it home to figure out what it was you saw. You have photographic proof.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Bulky but nice This adapter comes with little in the way of instruction, but fortunately it isn't too hard to install. The ring around the eyepiece is removed and replaced with one that has a flange. The flange snugs a collar that fits around the scope eyepiece assembly. The adapter clamps onto the collar with a single lever. The camera is placed on a quick disconnect plate (supplied) which allows left/right movement. In/out and up/down adjustments are via screw down in slotted tracks. Once set, they can be tightened in place for a particular camera and do not required other adjustment. When the camera is correctly positioned, it can be flipped up and latched out of the way for viewing. Thus, it is simple to go from viewing to taking pictures without adjustments required. My first photos were with a small Panasonic Lumix point/shoot. The subject was a goldfinch 17 feet away. I used a 2 second timer, pressed the shutter halfway to focus, then fully pressed to start the timer. Great photos and not much hassle after the initial setup. This is a very nice accessory, well built, a little busy and bulky, but does a good job. It only fits reasonably small cameras and comes with a somewhat cheap looking carry bag.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great way to add a camera to your scope While pricey, the Swarovski quality makes the DCB II a great way to add a camera to your scope. Using a Canon S110 I am getting quite amazing pictures of birds through my scope. The DCB II is simple, very sturdy, and very easy to use. The printed instructions that come with the DCB II are a little hard to follow, but there is a very good video on the Swarovski web page that explains how to install the DCB II and how to use it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Trouble attaching it! This is well made and well designed, but the instructions are marginal and we can not get it to stay firmly attached to the scope.
