The Samyang 8mm f/3.5 lens will not vignette on the T3i. It is designed to cover an APS-C size sensor camera, such as the T3i.

Thanks. Then on a full frame sensor, it is a true fisheye with the circular image.

question

hi, can I use this lense with Canon T2i and Canon T3i?Thanks
Asked by: Anonymous
Yes, the Samyang 8mm f/3.5 HD Fisheye Lens with Removable Hood for Canon is compatible with the EF lens mount on the Canon EOS Digital Rebel T2i DSLR Camera and the Canon EOS Digital Rebel T3i DSLR Camera. However, do note that the lens does not have any CPU contacts and is a fully manual lens, therefore, you will have to use the camera set to Manual mode, focus the lens manually, and instead of setting the aperture on the camera body as with your other automatic lenses, you will have to set the aperture using the aperture ring on the lens itself. The Samyang 8mm f/3.5 HD Fisheye Lens with Removable Hood for Canon will be a rectilinear 180-degree diagonal fisheye lens on the Canon T2i and T3i DSLR cameras.

The Samyang 8mm f/3.5 HD Fisheye Lens with Removable Hood for Canon would work on the Canon EOS R if you are using the Canon Mount EF-EOS R Adapter, but this lens will NOT mount directly on the Canon EOS R camera.

question

Hi, thanks for your previous answer. Can you explain this to me please: The Samyang 8mm f/3.5 HD Fisheye Lens with Removable Hood for Canon will be a rectilinear 180-degree diagonal fisheye lens on the Canon T2i and T3i DSLR cameras any difference with full sensor cameras o what does it mean?thank you!
Asked by: Anonymous
This lens can work with both crop-sensor cameras, and full-frame cameras. However, it will look different in each scenario. On a crop sensor, you will see an ultra-wide angle image that covers the entire image frame, from corner to corner. It will show noticeable distortion of straight lines, as is to be expected from a fish-eye lens. On a full-frame sensor, the image will be circular, and will only take up the center portion of the frame. The corners of your picture will be dark. There will be the same type of line distortion as described above. All of this is due to the size of the image circle on the rear of the lens, and its relationship with the sensor.
