The LCDVF3C 3.2" LCD Viewfinder for Canon DSLR Cameras from Kinotehnik is an optical viewfinder used to shoot either photos or videos with better camera control, and view of 3.2" LCDs. It is an essential accessory that enables photographers to take advantage of the HD video features of Canon's EOS 5D Mark III, Mark IV, and EOS-1D X DSLR cameras.

At the heart of the LCDVF3C is an achromatic lens pair that consists of two optical components vacuum-cemented together to form a lens which is computer optimized to correct for chromatic aberrations. Its magnetic interface allows rapid mounting and removal without any wear and tear on the camera. All you need to do is apply the adhesive-covered thin metal frame to your camera body and from then on, it's a simple click-on / click-off solution to attach and remove the viewfinder.

(Canon EOS R) I attached the mount and used a ...

(Canon EOS R) I attached the mount and used a little heat from a hair dryer- everything looked good until I did my first shoot. Bumped the viewfinder and it came off, metal frame and all. I have extra mounts, but am not sure what to do. I don't want to use a heat gun to set it, but it's useless to me if the metal frame doesn't stay attached to the screen. May need to return it and buy something which attached to the tripod socket. Not ideal for me, though. Can't use hot shoe since I use flash triggers. Any advice?

The Kinotehnik LCDVF3C 3.2" LCD Viewfinder for Canon DSLR Cameras, does not fit perfectly onto the Canon EOS R, as you have discovered. Their are other mounting methods for some types of loups with rails that will connect the loupe to the screen and be connected to the 1/4 20 below the camera. None are listed as compatible with the EOS R cameras at this point(5/2020).

3.2 inches is the measurement of the screen diagonally. This will not fit the 3 inch screen of the 60D
