This Duo LCD Charger from Watson restores power to one or two BLN-1 batteries via the included, dedicated plates. These can be replaced by optional plates for various other batteries. Additionally, the Duo can simultaneously charge two different batteries with different voltages. Charging time is between two and six hours. The unit also features a USB 2.0 port, which enables you to charge and power a mobile device while your camera batteries are being replenished. The LCD screen displays each battery's charge percentage--even when the Duo is unplugged--via the test button.

Running on 100-240 VAC power, the Duo can be used all over the world. It includes a power cord with a 2-prong North American plug, as well as a 12 VDC car charger that plugs into a cigarette lighter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Backorder took time, but worked stated This item was backordered and took many weeks to be fulfilled. But, when it arrived, it worked as advertised and was configured as requested (Olympus battery). I found that the digital display works great and it does aid in estimating time remaining on charge cycle as well as showing initial battery state. I also discovered that this unit charges much faster than the OEM unit (Olympus), perhaps 1/2 the time. Finally, I was surprised to see a battery that was shown as fully charged by the OEM charger (charging was completed) showed only 95% complete on this unit. This unit completed the charging to 100%. I am pleased that I purchased this as it allows charging of 2 batteries at once as opposed to only one with the OEM charger. Improved charge management and the LCD display are icing on the cake.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not Lightweight If you are looking to reduce the bulk of your charging equipment, this is not the answer. The description doesn't mention that it comes with a bulky power cord. After waiting a couple months to receive it, I'm returning it unopened. Two single Watson chargers will weigh less, take up less room in my luggage, and cost half as much.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works as advertised I like the charger better than the Olympus chargers since it seems to work faster and has much better information. The only negatives are how big it is and it can be tough to get the batteries in and out sometimes. I did run into one situation where neither battery registered with the unit when they were plugged in. I ended up removing the batteries, unplugging the unit, and waiting 10 seconds or so. Then plugged it back in and it was fine.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works fine I got this to replace a Kapanex charger that came with two cheap batteries. That died in a few weeks ago so bought the Watson. Works well, charges a pair of Olympus and Brand X batteries at once, and plates for other batteries are available. It uses a power cord, though; that's an inconvience for travel so I picked up a direct plug. So far, no complaints except for the cord and the bulk.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great if you have more than one type of camera battery. Fast and more informative than the chargers that come with the camera. Being able to charge two batteries at once, even if the batteries are different and for different cameras is advantageous. Of course, because of size, it's not for throwing in your camera bag with everything else. The additional adapter plates needed for different batteries are inexpensive but the charger includes the first two adapter plates needed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The charger to have when you need to charge more than one It's bigger and heavier than Olympus' BCN-1 charger, but it can charge two batteries at once and it tells you what percent of charge each has. If you have more than one battery, you should have this charger. If you don't like the power cord it comes with, it uses a standard IEC 60320 C7 connector.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great Always wanted a dual charger. now that my Olympus 4/3 system eats batteries I have the means to quickly charge 2 and not worry about changing. The speed and charge level appear to be the same as the OEM. Having the flexibility to add plates for other cameras is awesome!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Versatile dual battery charger + USB output Bought this a number of years ago for shooting time-lapse with 3-4 different cameras, which required 3 different battery plates. Its handy as you can swap out different plates for different batteries. The battery gauge (even without being plugged in) is handy to see how full your batteries are. The charging speed is pretty quick, and I believe quicker than the original chargers (regardless of camera brand/battery). Not sure why another reviewer said there was a large power cable, but it is your standard figure 8 cable. I am using my Australian cable when at home & can swap it out when travelling overseas. The 2.1A USB output is a nice addition for also charging a tablet/phone/USB powered device. Nowadays I travel with different battery chargers that can be powered off USB ports/battery packs, so this mainly sits in my office when I'm not on the road. I have never run it off a 12V power source so can't comment on that usefulness. If you can get it on special (even with the wrong plates) it can still be a worthwhile purchase for those with multiple cameras.
