The distance a lens can view is based on many factors of the camera it's being attached to. These include; resolution and image sensor chip size. For example if this lens was attached to a 3MP camera, recording in full resolution with a 1/3 image sensor, 30 feet away you would have the potential to identify a person or license plate.
