I have a video camera C mount, 1/1.8 CMOS, 1280 x 1024, USB3 (Ximea MQ013CG-E2); I have to see at a distance of 0.25 -0.3 m., an area of, more or less, H=10 - 15 mm., V=8 - 13 mm. Is good this lens for me? Thanks a lot.

I guess this comes too late but you can answer easily from the specs of the MQ013CG-E2, which I found on the web. The sensor H active dimension is 6.9mm. Using pinhole camera model, that means that using the shortest focal length of 12mm, the FOV will be 2*atan(6.9/2/12)=32deg. Or to make it simpler, using triangles, the H FOV at 0.25m will be 25cm*6.9/12=14cm. At maximum focal length the H FOV will be 25cm*6.9/36=5cm. So this lens is too short for you. Hope this helps.
