The Barco HDQ-2K40 3-Chip DLP Projector puts out an extremely bright 40,000 lumens along with 2K resolution. It is meant for use at the largest event venues that need saturated and very bright imagery. The projector is ideal for broadcast events, houses of worship, and outdoor facades.
The HDQ is equipped with Barco's Athena image processing technology for flexible scaling. The projector's modular design makes the HDQ easy to install and service. It comes with extensive wireless control features, and thanks to its solid, adjustable, stackable frame, the projector can easily be rigged. With the light-on-demand technology, users can fully tune the light output of the HDQ to their needs.
Ultra Bright Picture
Putting out 40,000 lumens from a 7kWh xenon arc lamp, the HDQ-2K40 is built to display a big, bright picture for a large audience, even with competing light.
The projector incorporates the Athena scaler, Barco's custom-designed image processing technology for making a 2048 x 1080 picture look superb, even when sourced from a variety of resolutions.
The projector is capable of digitally manipulating the image to compensate for the distortion of the screen. It can also be used to generate an image with an irregular shape.
Horizontal and vertical keystone adjustment of the image is used to align the image when the device is mounted at a non-standard projection angle. Barrel and pincushion distortions can also be adjusted.
The Input & Communication side of the projector consists of a button module, a dual 3G/HDSDI, and DVI-I input as standard input module. Other ports, many for control, include DMX in and out, XLR for remote control, RS232/RS422 input, USB, and Ethernet. An optional antenna is available for a Wi-Fi connection.
Two Free Slots for Optional Inputs
The projector contains two unoccupied slots to accommodate a 5-cable component video input and a 3D Input Module. The latter includes an HDMI input.
When working in a multi-channel setup, the HDQ-2K40 and its Soft Edge adjustments enable an image blending that gives the appearance of a single view, thus achieving realistic immersion for wide screen applications.
