The octa Luxbanx has an additional control via the optional fabric grid which mounts to the recessed lip of the softbox with touch-fasteners. The grid narrows and concentrates the light's beam forward, controlling spill and adding directional control to the Luxbanx's attributes. The large surface area of this octagonal-shaped softbox gives you a unique wrap-around quality of light that gains emphasis as you move it closer. Catchlights in the eyes of your subject are round and natural. Every Luxbanx comes with a carrying case and a spare Flex Rod. Separate purchase of a speed ring that matches your strobe's mount is required for use. Impact makes models to fit most popular brands.

The last picture in the Product Images shows the back of the softbox with a Bowens speed ring. Does this 7' softbox in fact comes with this Bowens speed ring attached?
Asked by: Walter
No, the Impact Luxbanx Large Octagonal Softbox (84") does not include a speedring. If you look under the image you referred to, there is blue text that states "Speedring Not Included," and under the "In The Box" section under the Overview tab, the "Not in the Box" section lists Speed Rings as essential, but not included. The speedring was used in the image as it was needed to show the softbox assembled. As this is a universal softbox and it is compatible with a myriad of light fixtures, you have to purchase the speed ring designed for use on your light fixture. Available options are listed under the Accessories tab on this product page.
