    Audio-Technica Consumer ATR2USB reviews

ATR2USB 3.5mm to USB Audio Adapter is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 34.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality Product. Works amazingly well. Does more than expected. I purchased this adapter for my MacBook Pro that has a 3.5 mm port that is not working well. The audio quality coming from this adapter is absolutely perfect. It's great to also have an input option especially on a computer that you usually have to switch cables to make it work. The volume control on the adapter controls the volume on the system (Mac OS X) so if you are far away from the keyboard it makes it easy to control it. The only problem is that I had to send it to my US address and having sent it back to Canada afterwards since it only has shipping in the States, but this has nothing to do with the product.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A Lifesaver! The audio out broke on my laptop which I use in my DJ business. This unit was immediately recognized by Windows 7 and worked great right out of the box! The output is stronger than the audio out of my laptop which is a godsend when trying to cue up a song while another one is playing full blast through the sound system. I would give it 5 stars if the volume control worked better. It looks like a dial but is actually a momentary contact switch which raises and lowers the volume when moved in either direction. It does not work that smoothly, but once the volume was set I didn't have to adjust it anymore.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect cost for it's function my headphone jack was broken, so I spent $13 for this converter, and it works perfectly. It's a very straightforward adapter, with a couple extra functions that I don't need personally, but add even more bang for your buck. It's a great deal and solution for the cost the only downside is that the exterior plastic casing is a little flimsy, and while this doesn't effect it's usage, and I haven't had any problems, I expect it's lifetime to be lowered because of this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from USB adapter line input Did quite a bit of research on what to get for a Mac with no audio input port (3.5mm headphone), and I'm glad I chose this one. It does exactly what I needed it to do, and it arrived earlier than the projected arrival date. For me, it's a perfect solution to my audio worries.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works Well I use the product with voice recognition software to dictate. I needed a USB microphone and headset adapter. This almost immediately worked with Windows 7, after the driver automatically downloaded. I has been working flawlessly. The Mute and Volume Control were added bonuses I hadn't required. The Indicator LED's are nice to have. It's not the most sturdy piece of electronics, but more than adequate, especially for the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Saved old Mac mini running windows I had an old Mac mini that could no longer run the latest Mac OSX software so I didn't want to run an old OS and risk security. I put a copy of Windows on it and the only problem was the audio didn't work. I bought this adapter and it worked as soon as I plugged it in. I now can use this as a backup machine or to run an occasionally windows program.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Full-Range Audio! Originally bought this due to a bad headphone jack on a laptop. I now use it on a desktop, even though the audio out on this machine works fine. The reason? Because the dynamic range of the ATR2USB seems to be superior to the original hardware!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent adapter Nowadays is very difficult to find this kind of adapter locally. AT is a good brand for audio stuff, so I decided to try this adapter and it does the job, good audio quality.
