3M X31i Overview

The 3M X31i Digital Projector is a powerful, versatile projector with 2700 ANSI lumens of brightness and 3000:1 contrast ratio that renders large, bright images even when you have a fair amount of ambient light in the room. This projector is an excellent choice for a modern conference room or classroom.

Network control, management, and presentation software is included. If you don't want to use the LAN port, the projector can accept an optional USB Wi-Fi adapter. The X31i sports an international auto switching 100 to 240V 50/60Hz power supply, and it can project video in the NTSC, PAL, and SECAM standards. It's compatible with most Macintosh and PC resolutions and can scale from 720p and 1080i sources. The projector contains an HDMI input, 2 VGA inputs, and a variety of other inputs. The projector has built-in intelligence to deliver a PC-free presentation from image and video files on an inserted memory stick.

PC-Less Presentations
By using a USB memory device, you can present JPG, PNG, BMP, GIF, AVI and MOV files from the projector without being connected to a computer. This is ideal for those who give mobile presentations or for those who have security concerns about carrying their PC to different locations.
Software Capabilities
The 3M X31i offers robust networking capability to control, diagnose, and manage a group of projectors from a single, remote location. Included programs:

• Projector Control Software: Control a projector via the network
• Projector Image Software: Create MyImage file and send it to the projector
• Projector Management Software: Control up to 500 projectors via the network
• Projector Messenger Software: Transmit and display a message on a projector via the network
• LiveViewer Software: Wireless presentations via the LAN
• PJLink: Reduces installation time when replacing other PJLink projectors

Optional Wireless Connectivity
The 3M X31i projector is wireless presentation-ready. The optional USB adapter is compatible with 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi standards.
Drawing Function
You can save annotations to a memory stick.
Hybrid Filter
Thanks to the hybrid filter, maintenance and cleaning are much less frequent, making longer operation possible. The hybrid air filter reduces operating costs by delivering at least 4000 hours in normal operating conditions, which combines with the long life lamp and LCD panel to offer an almost fit and forget maintenance interval. With the lamp door on top and a side-mounted filter, maintenance and replacement of these parts can be done easily, even when the projector is ceiling-mounted.
Auto Vertical Keystone
Automatically performs keystone correction for an ideal screen setting, simply by pressing the button.
Built-in Speakers
You don't necessarily need an outboard sound system since the projector is equipped with 8-watt x 2 (mono)speakers. There'a a 3.5mm stereo microphone input for use by the presenter and an RCA (red, white) input and output.
Input Source Naming
Change the name of any input to one of your own choosing for easier use (i.e. change RGB input to computer or component to DVD)
