Don't bother with the fifty dollar bulbs on the net, they are much dimmer and the colors are weak. These are OEM lamps that have the same brightness and color reproduction as the original. Since Panasonic has discontinued this projector, I suggest ordering one or two extras now. Panasonic makes a great product, and I expect these projectors to last a long time yet.
Replaced my lamp on my Panasonic pt-ae8000u projector and it was simple. This OEM part worked flawlessly and met all my expectations.
This is the third replacement bulb for our projector, and this one is by far the best one we've had. It is very bright and the colors are vivid.
This is my first purchase from B&H. I read many reviews and stopped myself from purchasing a low-cost product and opted to buy this replacement lamp. While it is $400, it is a genuine Panasonic replacement and works pretty well. I can see the difference in the image on my screen, very crisp and fully satisfied with the product.
This is great. Of course it is brighter than the old one which was sending warnings but this really is quite stunning. The bulb dropped right into its slot as is should. I had help from my wife because the projector needed to be move out from under a granite topped coffee table that had been raised a few inches. She also learned how to change a bulb. Its easy. We also cleaned up a bit and replaced the filter. B&H, as usual, promptly sent the unit and it was here in days. It was also triple boxed with great insulation to protect it. I now have learned over the years to always check B&H when I want to purchase anything. Highly recommended. Five stars in all categories. Jon
The Lamp keeps turning off by itself for some reason. I invested almost $400 on this thinking that it will last at-least the next 3 to 4 years, but it started acting up after 3 months. So it turns off with no image and then I need to switch off the projector and then on it back after 10 mins to get it working. This happens every 1 to 2 hrs of run time, and is so annoying if you are in the middle of a movie or TV serial !!! Cannot return as well !!! this is ridiculous !!!
Expensive but it's exactly the same lamp with enhanced Red Rich lamp. Have pictures of the original Panasonic box and Panasonic instructions. All original Panasonic everything.
I'm so happy to finally find an authentic Panasonic replacement lamp. No janky housing disassembly/reassembly. Real Panasonic branded packaging and instructions... and a replacement air filter too! The replacement slid right in.
