The blue slate CityWalker 20 Messenger Bag from Think Tank is a soft, padded multi-functional bag that holds your one standard size body with a 24-70mm f/2.8 attached with 1-3 extra lenses, flash and iPad/tablet. It also accommodates a detached 70-200mm f/2.8 lens.

The bag contains a removable padded insert that, when removed, transforms the bag into one large storage space-messenger style. This double-edged approach to a camera bag gives you the freedom to carry camera gear or, when the insert is removed, other items such as books or personals.

The bag is accessed by a double security front snap buckle or touch fasteners that feature Think Tank's Sound Silencers to minimize the noise that traditional touch fasteners generate when opened. This will come in handy when you are shooting in quiet venues such as a chess match or courtroom. The front zippered organizer pocket hold everything from cleaning cloth to pens, note pad, lens cap and other small items. The front pocket is expandable via an easy to use touch fastener.

The overall material is water-resistant and soft providing a body conforming design that makes navigating through crowds and subways much easier. A combination of nylon, polyester, polyurethane and YKK zippers provide strength to the bag. Movable closed-cell interior dividers allow you to configure the bag to suit your gear needs.

The CityWalker is carried by its cushioned, adjustable, non-slip shoulder strap or convenient top grab handle. The bag comes with a seam sealed rain cover that will protect the entire bag when the weather turns against you. Topping off this bag is a business card slot located under the front flap. This will make networking easier when you need to hand your card to someone while on the go. Think Tank backs the CityWalker with a lifetime warranty against manufacturer's defects.

question

Will this bag hold a Canon 5DS R with a Really Right Stuff L-Bracket and short lens attached?
Asked by: Mary
I assume so. It will easily hold a 5DM3 with a RRS L bracket and a 24-105 attached.

question

Are the interior dimensions shown on the BH website those of the interior of the insert or the interior of the bag without the insert?
Asked by: John
I believe these interior dimensions are the bag without the insert. As I measure, the insert itself is 12x8.25x5.25 inches. The insert is well padded, but slightly flexible so these could move a bit to fit things. the insert is also rounded on the two outside corners. This makes the bag less bulky and isn't be a problem for storing lenses or flashes, but if you want to put something outright square on the corners it will be an issue. The insert attaches with velcro to the back wall of the bag. As a result, it is possible to put things in the bag but outside the insert (flashes, battery packs, sunglass cases, etc), as the outter bag is very flexible.

question

I like to shoot in the rainy region of Alaska.. will this bag protect my gear??
Asked by: Anonymous
Yes and no: yes if you use the rain cover, no if you don't, as the side flaps don't fold over as much as they do in some other bags, so the rain could get in the top front and back corners.

question

Want to carry a Nikon d750, 16-35mm f4, 70-200mm f4, 50mm 1.8, macbook pro 13 , and possibly a speedlight. Will this do it? Also looking at the Tenba 13 or 15.Thanks!
Asked by: Dawn B.
Not big enough for your stuff. I use it to carry Canon 5d3, 70-200mm f4, 17-40mm f4 and 24-105mm f4. It is very crowded. There won't be room or place for a laptop.
