    Peak Design PL-M1 reviews

MICROplate Quick Release Plate ONLY is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 10.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Right size I became a fan of the Peak Design Capture system on a holiday tour abroad. I quickly realized that belt mounting (which I expected to do) is impractical and uncomfortable (even with a m43 camera) and opted to mount the clip on a small vade mecum camera bag, instead. This turned out to be nearly perfect with the exception that the normal bottom plate is just large enough to make it impossible to get the full benefit of the EM-5's tilt screen. This plate corrects that and all is well again. By the way, the E-M5/II's mounting hole is further forward on the camera but this is of no consequence with the fully articulating screen. The only downside to this plate is shared with the rest of the Peak Design offerings - inconvenience in tripod mounting in portrait orientation.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Useful CSC/BR strap Solution I purchased this so that I could connect my Black Rapid strap to the bottom of my NEX-6 and not worry about the flimsy D-rings included with most arca plates. This is an ok solution but the spring on the D ring is a little tight and can be difficult to connect to. I may remove the spring and see how it works since most D-rings don't use springs and I'm not sure why it was included in this design. Also works well with my Sirui ballhead.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I was a little disappointed. As far as looking at the image, but a slit through the micro-anchor on both sides you will see, in-kind is the slit was disappointed not only one to one. If the one to pass the micro anchor two of the straps of the first, the camera will lack around easy sense of stability. Was a little disappointed because the product of the favorite brands.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Solution to My Backpacking Camera Carry Problem This device works as advertised and solves a long standing challenge on how to carry and keep my camera handy when I ma wearing a backpack. I even used it skiing yesterday. Well designed, easy to use and well made. The optional MICROplate for use on my Olympus E-M1 was a good investment, as well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not as Micro as you'd like maybe. Great little plate that works well with ARCA tripods. It's solidly made, and I like that Peak Design added little holes for their clips as well so you can carry it sling style. Mine did not come with a D-ring screw, but that isn't needed because you do have those eyelets.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from MICROplate-nice to have... The Micro Plate is great to use with smaller point and shoot cameras. I use it on a Lumix LX7. Holds nice and secure. I like the mounting screw which has a fold down thumb turn and it's machined to accept an allen wrench. Allen wrench is included.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sharp edges & compact Bought this with the AS version. Overall just didn't like the sharp edges below the latch where u pull out to tightened it over the body. The rubber also doesn't seems to stop the plate from moving.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from very small Fine plate for the price but too small for my quick release. I got the universal one and it works fine, I like the whole system and have the original holster.
