Rated 1 out of 5 by from Junk You might be asking yourself as I did, is one brand of these different than any other. After working with two of these compared to the Pearlstone the answer is yes. These are headed to the trash. Neither will hold a 5 monitor in place. I overtightened one, causing the interior sleeve to lock up. I was on an shoot and had to take it apart to get it back to a reasonably workable state. I view of the interior gave me some understanding of the reasons one brand might be better than another. This brand is JUNK.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Unexpectedly functional After reading numerous reviews for similar products, I chose this armature because of the low price and weight tolerance. I expected a cheap, junky arm - but was rather surprised at how good the build quality is. I use it as a flash support to get some back fill for my Canon MP-E 65 macro. It holds a 580EX2 with ease. Quite happy with the product. The only thing I would change is that I wish the tension wheel was metal instead of plastic. It's the weakest portion of the build.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Does not hold what is says it can hold We bought this as a cheaper alternative to a RED friction arm. The arm cannot hold up a lightweight SmallHD AC7 monitor without falling over.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Tricky at first, sweet the second time I picked this up when I purchased the dolly, kind of a hand in hand thing. Well made, has weight, doesn't fell cheap. Works well, or to the level that I operate. One of the things I do is food photography and Shorts. It works well for my purposes.
