The black Adaptor 41 Daypack from Vanguard is a two-in-one deal. It is not only a sturdy and functional daypack but can serve double-duty as a quick-access sling bag that will help you get the shot when it appears. With its capacity for a DSLR with attached lens, extra lens, flash and accessories, this is a good choice for bag to carry for a day in the park with your family or as a field bag for day's adventure or, perhaps, for a photojournalist who needs instant access to a lens.

The pack is made from a combination of nylon/polyester and lined with polyester and velvet that will be gentle on the fine finish of your gear. Speaking of the lining, the interior itself is configurable using the bag's movable dividers. However, the "wow" factor of this bag is its ability to quickly change from a daypack with dual backpack straps to a sling pack with a strap over one shoulder. Tuck-away one strap and merely swing the bag to either shoulder. Zippered side pockets provide fast retrieval of gear. In addition, a zippered and buckled top compartment is also available for more gear. For nature and long exposure shots, a tripod holder is included. A top grab handle is included for quick grab moments. Vanguard backs the pack with its limited lifetime warranty.

Easily converts to a sling bag by repositioning one of the shoulder straps and neatly stowing the other; one strap can be tucked away leaving you with one shoulder strap that serves as a sling

ADAPTOR BACKPACK/SLING BAG - SMALL is rated 3.7 out of 5 by 6.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good for the right equipment This is a well made bag. Unfortunately I had to send back. I would have kept if I had a pro DSLR kit, but I have switched to a mirror-less Fuji kit. There was too much space in the camera department for the smaller Fuji Lenses, and not enough dividers. With more dividers I would have probably been able to have 2 additional lenses and a flash and might have kept. I would say for someone with a Cannon Mk? with 24-70 and one other reasonable lens this bag would work well. It does lack in small item storage as well. If you have a bunch of knickknack gear you tote around loosely, you might want to look elsewhere.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Smaller than expected Bought it mainly for travel but had to return it after trying to fit my camera in it. I think the bag is too narrow for my usage. Although it could fit my Canon 5D Mark III with Canon 24-70mm f/2.8 L or Canon 24-105mm f/4 IS lens attached and a flash however after putting all that gear it was too tight and my camera was not easily accessible. Also this way the LCD of the camera is on the side of the bag where it has no protective padding. Also if you use a Black Rapid type strap then you will have to tuck it on the side losing some space. I think it might be better for Canon 70D or smaller DSL cameras.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Minimum weight, Minimal storage I was able to stow my Canon 5D Mark IV with L-bracket attached while hiking in Arizona, but the camera consumed most of the pack. I just had room on top for a sunglass case and energy bar. I attached a Camelback water bottle to the outside with a carabiner. This arrangement worked pretty well and was about as light as you could hike with such a big camera. The pack does have a tripod pocket and attachment but it would need to be small. If you are looking for a minimal weight hiking/walking around pack this one works pretty well but don't expect to carry much else.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great pack Well designed and constructed. Could use more divider panels to allow for more customizing I the storage areas, but overall great design for a small camera pack.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bag for day trips. The bag is great is you are just going out for a few hours and want to carry a camera and an extra lens or two and a small tripod. Was able to fit my 5D Mark iii with grip (was a bit tight) and two extra lenses. I wouldn't recommend it for long trips or taking on a flight, it is well made but I don't think it would handle being tossed around to much without something breaking.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Awesome little bag This is a great little bag for those city excursions. It fits a Nikon D750 and spare lens with ease with some space left over for some small personal items. I wish it were a bit more robust but for the money it is a great value. I paired this with a set of BlackRapid backpack straps for a very comfortable shooting rig.
