The black 850nm IR148-2 Series Short-Range IR Illuminator from Iluminar is designed to provide IR lighting for CCTV systems. This illuminator has a range of up to 62' and offers an illumination angle of 60°. It also has a built-in photocell and comes with a wall mounting bracket. The light intensity and photocell sensitivity can be adjusted using an IL-RC remote control (available separately). The IP67-rated and vandal-proof IR illuminator is weatherproof for outdoor use. The hardened housing provides protection from harsh weather conditions, such as rapid temperature variations ranging from -58 to 140°F.

Can the module be activated/trigger with an external signal and what king of signal and what latency ?

Telemetry - Remote switching The illuminator may be activated remotely by a volt-free contact latched across the telemetry wires and you would need the Iluminar ILRC remote control unit as well. You can also find this on pages 8 and 9 of the manual.
