Microsoft RVF-00052 overview

  • 1Description

The black Microsoft Arc Touch Mouse is a unique mouse that features a flexible design. Rather than a button to turn it on and off, you simply curve to turn it on, and flatten to turn it off when you're done using it. Touch scrolling allows for intuitive navigation. Thanks to Logitech's BlueTrack technology, the mouse is able to be used on virtually any surface. Plus, the USB nano transceiver plugs into your computer and stays there -- or attaches magnetically in the mouse for safe keeping.

For convenience, the mouse can be used in either your right or left hand. The battery lasts for up to six months, and a battery status indicator lets you know how much battery power is left. Additionally, the Arc Touch Mouse employs reliable 2.4GHz wireless technology, so you can use it cord-free from up to 30 feet away from your computer. The mouse is compatible with computers running Windows 7, Vista and XP.

    Microsoft RVF-00052 reviews

Arc Touch Mouse (Black) is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 32.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Functional but different I bought this to replace my deteriorating HP wireless mouse and am still adjusting to it. The track pad replacing the scrolling wheel is where I am having the most difficulty adapting; maybe I need to adjust the sensitivity but it doesn't always respond like I expect. Secondly it is wider than the scrolling wheel requiring one to hold your fingers further apart for accurate results. Lastly, I hope the on/off techniques is durable enough to outlast the warranty. Flattening out the mouse to turn it of feels destructive and I'm constantly feeling this bend will be my last bend. I'm going to recommend only after sharing my personal experience.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Mouse! I bought my FIRST Arc mouse a few years ago and I was surprised at how well it responded to all surfaces. It is comfortable in your hand and once you get the feel of the scroll you will love it! It is definitely more expensive but worth the price. I travel often and the space it saves is great.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Mouse I bought this mouse in hopes of alleviating the pain I get in my right shoulder after long hours at my computer. Low and behold, it has done just that. It works properly and I like it because it lays flat when I take it with me.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good looking but funky This seemed like a good purchase at first but once I got it home and started using it, I don't really like it. First of all, it makes a strange noise that is supposed to simulate clicking of the wheel. It sounds like a creaking spring and is impossible to turn off if you have a Mac. Supposedly you can turn the sound off on windows but I'm not sure. The touch pad on the top didn't seem to track very well. I'd give it 2.5- stars.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Much better than the Arc Bluetooth Mouse I originally purchased the Bluetooth Arc mouse to free myself of the USB dongle. Unfortunately, I returned the Bluetooth Arc mouse after constantly dealing with connection issues. While the USB dongle takes up a valuable USB port on my laptop, it performs flawlessly. The bottom of the Arc mouse is magnetized to hold the USB dongle but I would not recommend using it reliably to hold the USB dongle. With that said, the mouse works great and does the job while keeping a slim profile in our hand or pocket while on the run.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good design, poor execution This mouse is difficult to control and only has one setting, it does not contour to your hand, which I thought it did. Also, it's difficult to stop the scrolling noise.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Periferal I use it with my Surface Pro 3. When flattened out it fits very nicely into the pocket of my Surface Pro sleeve. It is very comfortable to use. It did take me a while to discover that the USB unit magnetically attaches to the mouse when not in use. I deducted one star from the score because the scroll function on the mouse sometimes continues to scroll up or down after I stop scrolling. When this happens, a left click on the mouse stops the scroll function.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from For the price, I would've expected better quality This is a handy mouse in the way it folds flat to turn it off and for storage purposes in a small laptop sleeve. However, the scroll wheel can be very annoying. It can tend to "skip" or "jump" a lot when scrolling websites and the clicky sound it makes whilst scrolling isn't ideal. Also, from time to time (usually once a day I've noticed) the scroll wheel stops working altogether. I need to actively turn the mouse off and on to get it working again.
