The NN3 MKII Tripod Head with RD16 II Rotator from Nodal Ninja is a specially designed tripod head with an RD16 II rotator for producing spherical 180 x 360° panoramic photographs. With this precision camera support, you can seamlessly stitch panoramas free of parallax, while simplifying your post processing workflow. With a minimal combined weight of just 1.9 lb, the NN3 MKII with the RD16 II rotator is compact, lightweight and can still provide solid support for cameras and lenses up to 7.0 lb, with an ideal work load of 3.0 lb.
Precision machined parts and lubricated bearings provide smooth rotation and click stops, as well as decreased wear over time. The RD16 II has 16 selectable increments of rotation, and you can also mount your camera in either landscape (horizontal) or portrait (vertical) orientation. With one-knob adjustable resistance for horizontal panning, and the process of producing a panoramic photo becomes even easier.
For 360 x 180° Spherical & HDR Panoramas
With precisely machined components, laser engraved markings and lubricated bearings you can capture full spherical panoramas both quickly and accurately
For Compact Digital Cameras
This system accommodates most point and shoot digital cameras, or compact DSLRs with short lenses attached
62mm Diameter/Nadir Footprint
Diameter of 62 mm provides sufficient precision and stability while keeping the nadir footprint small
16x Selectable Detent Intervals
This advanced rotator has 16 different degree stop increments, which correspond to a 3.75-120° range of detent intervals. While the detent interval (click-stop) option can also be changed in seconds, some of these specifically require both of the two included plungers, and an included knob locks the rotation into place
Up to 7.0lb Maximum Weight Capacity
This rotator supports 7.1 lb (3.2 kg) of weight, and is designed for ideally half of that, at 2.9 lb (1.4 kg)
Change Detent Interval in Seconds
As quickly as you can pull one of the two plungers out of a detent interval, you can change the number of stops and degrees at which your rotator will stop
Laser Engraved Indexing Marks
High precision lasers were used to engrave the indexing marks on this rotator, every 2.5°
It is designed to mount onto lower rail systems of current Nodal Ninja's, using anti-twist sockets and M6 female thread with supplied 1/4 hex screw
