The black TPDP-101 Perspektiv Daypack from Thule is a very lightweight 2.6 lb pack with enough space for your photo gear and accessories. The water-repellent pack will accommodate your prosumer DSLR with attached wide angle lens as well as holding an additional 1-2 lenses up to 70-200mm f/2.8, flash and accessories-all customizable with movable dividers. Thule includes their SafeZone technology that helps protect fragile gear stored within the bag.

For sheer travel convenience, the pack comes with a removable camera pod that can readily be extracted and left home or stored in a hotel safe. Removing the pod leaves you extra space inside the pack for other items you might prefer to carry on your excursion. An organizer panel is sized to hold 3 SD cards and two batteries. Two zippered weather-resistant stash pockets are provided for small stuff such as hand warmers, small flashlight or lens caps.

The pack is made from durable 500D nylon and treated with a water-repellent finish. The welded and taped seams bolster the overall strength of the bag. The backpack straps are breathable, perforated EVA (ethylene vinyl acetate) and polyester mesh-both materials adding to the overall comfort and strength of the pack. A top carry handle is there for quick retrieval moments such as from your car, closet or luggage rack.

The zippers are all rugged YKK design. A hideaway waist belt is also provided for extra stability and balance while you're on the trail. Inside, the lining is hi-visibility that will help you locate small items in low light scenarios. And, when the weather turns against you, a flip and zip rain fly will add another layer of protection to the pack. The TPDP-101 Perspektiv Daypack is backed by a 25-year warranty from Thule.

TPDP-101 Perspektiv Daypack (Black) is rated 4.1 out of 5 by 12.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality backpack I bought this backpack because I don't have to take it anymore from my shoulders and put it on dirty or wet ground all the time I want to take out my camera or change the lens. I can fit in main compartment Nikon D800 with 24-70mm lens, 80-200mm f/2.8 AF-S lens with reversed hood and two prime lenses. The backpack is very sturdy and nothing is shifting inside. The bottom is very firm, waist belt actually works as intended, not like shoelace on the other brands. Water bottle holder on the side is a must unless you like to carry our drink in your hands all the time.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good size and features for short hikes/trips. Just purchased but have been able to experiment with loading it with the gear that I anticipate using on outings for a day hike, etc. and it seems to meet my needs for the most part. I wish that it was slightly wider so that my Canon 60D would fit in the padded compartment while fitted with my 100-400 EF zoom lens. It can be forced to fit but the zippered cover is stretched taut and compromises the padding to a degree. For now, I am planning on carrying the zoom in the large top compartment and using fitting a smaller lens on the camera body when transporting so that the camera will go in the main padded compartment. Good quality construction and features, otherwise.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Don't judge a pack by its cover I bought this for traveling with my Canon 5D Mark III, and 3 lenses (24-105, 70-200, 50 prime). I had a real hard time fitting everything in the bag. It's advertised to hold a 70-200 lens, but it simply does not live upto expectations. This bag could be so much better if it were bigger and had better quality construction. I had to return it and go with Lowepro. I am disappointed in Thule and expected more from them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Size Bought this to be a smaller alternative to my traditional daypack. Just enough room for my DSLR and two lenses in the bottom and plenty of room in the top for other odds and ends. Perfect for a day hike or a day around the city.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Bike Commuter Bag! I bought this bag to get my every day sort of gear to and from school. The bag is very comfortable in riding position and does not cause a huge amount of drag (I bike very fast, so this is a big deal to me). Nothing flaps around in the wind, and nothing moves when I stand up out of the seat to climb the hills or stop at a stop light. Great bag. The light weatherproofing is perfect to protect my gear from a few sprinkles and the rain cover has proven to be pretty foolproof. I have also taken the bag mountain biking once and its low profile was great for not catching on branches! I have not seen it mentioned anywhere, but if I remove the insert from the top compartment which separates it from the camera section, I can fit my 15 MacBook Pro Retina behind the camera insert. The fit is pretty much perfect--anything larger might not fit. With that arrangement, I can still fit an iPad, two A5 notebooks, and a light jacket in the top compartment! Amazing! As for the camera compartment and access itself: everything works as advertised. The bottom oft he bag is very stiff and makes me feel very comfortable about setting the bag on the ground. With my computer in place, there is a touch of zipper strain when you try to close the zipper with the bag slung off one shoulder--this is not a problem with the bag resting on the table so I don't worry about it fatiguing too much. All around awesome bag if you like the aesthetic. I think it fits in both the sporty and casual environments and does not stand out as a bag that might have $ dollars worth of equipment in it. Which I think is just fine.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Can't fit your laptop, but worth it for the daytrips hiking! Overall, a great quality backpack! Feels sturdy, water-resistant, and comfortable. Good size, not too big and not too small (I'm 165 cm). The side pockets and inner compartments are functionally usable and good access all around. However, it can't fit a 13 laptop as the upper compartment has the top capsule velcro attaching it around the backpack. The side access doesn't have the right angle or space to squeeze your laptop inside. I did force my Lenovo 13 laptop inside, but it wasn't economical. I would definitely love to try the other version of the Perspektiv Daypack that has that laptop sleeve. Aesthetics: 10 out of 10 Functionality: 8 out of 10 - I wish it could fit my backpack. Not really useful as a school pack because removing the interior supports makes the entire backpack lose its shape! Worth it? Definitely, but only use for light day trips and pack light and economically.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 4.5 stars? Great bag Okay, on construction alone, this is a 5 star bag. It's very well made and I can see it lasting for a LONG time. On layout and features, the bag is a solid 4. Reading previous reviews, this bag seemed very well suited for my m4/3 rig. Having MUCH bigger backpacks, it always felt odd carrying around the tiny camera system in a backpack designed for FF bodies and big lenses. This bag is VERY well suited for small bodies and small to medium lenses. Here's what's in my kit at the moment - Oly OM-D EM-1 Pan GH4 Oly 12-40 2.8 Oly 40-150 2.8 Oly 75 1.8 Oly 17 1.8 Oly 45 1.8 3 batteries for the Olympus and a charger Half a dozen memory cards Cloth I still have room and getting lenses in and out isn't a pain. Color scheme on the bag - I love it. It's reflective where it needs to/should be but very subdued in overall color with just a pop here and there of color. Very classy. The materials used are fantastic as stated above, but not just in construction but in appearance, assembly, etc. Here are my gripes - I wish it had a dedicated spot for a laptop - even a 13 one. Sure, you can squeeze it behind the pull-out section, but that's a pain. I understand that my desire for a small bag and one with dedicated space for a laptop are at odds with each other. Packaging- Thule - get this right. This is where you earn 1 star. Yes, I'm a tree hugger, but I was always under the impression that Thule was a company of tree huggers. Your tags are literally a massive waste of paper. Granted, this is a small gripe and one that is really not a major impact (we're talking about maybe 1-2 sheets of paper worth of waste) but come on. How hard would it be to pay attention to waste? Don't let those last gripes turn you off though. This is a great bag for someone looking to carry LOTS of small camera gear without breaking the bank and without breaking your back. I like it enough that I simply take my camera with me everywhere I go. That was the dream of going from FF camera bodies to mirrorless anyway, now it's a reality.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Small feeling like big Neat backpack but a lot bulkier than I expected. The hard case inserts tend to make it stick outward. Smaller inserts and slimmer design is what I expected from the smallest Thule bp. Priced well but not slim enough.
