Easy assembly, great quality. Used it for an auto shoot and have plans for standing portraits as well. Going to get a lot of use.

    Excellent all around light modifier

Profoto Quality. Amazing light modifier. Especially when you use two of the together. Better quality then the competitors strip boxes. The dimension of this modifier is great for full length and waist up portrait type images and with the grid; a true edge lighting effect. It's not worth getting the smaller one since that one won't cover a person full length. I highly recommend the Profoto 50 degree soft grid.

    Great softbox

It's a great, long strip bank with excellent construction. Setup/teardown is quite easy, as you don't have to wrestle too much with the rods, and the RFi speedrings and rods are very well built. The material is heavyweight and will definitely last for years and years to come. There is a caveat, however, when using the Profoto B1/B2 units _without_ the optional frosted dome. There is significant light falloff to the tune of about 1 1/3 stops or more at the ends of the softbox due to the B1/B2 and D1''s integrated 77-degree reflector. Placing a frosted dome on a B1 or D1 alleviates this a little bit, but not by much, for how much those things cost.

    I bought three

This is a fairly large softbox at 6 feet in length. However, with only 4 rods to insert into the Speedring, the assembly is relatively easy. Assembling on a flat surface helps as things aren't flopping about while being supported. Once the rods are assembled, the softbox can be put on the light atop the stand. The two diffusers can then be easily inserted. Once the rods and diffusers are assembled, you're ready for positioning and the first shot. On one of my first shoots, I felt the light spill was more than I wanted. As such, I've ordered the grids and expect that they will cure the issue. Bottom line - this is a fine, well-made product that creates great soft light over relatively large objects.

    Champagne price for beer quality

Used it ONCE, second time I 'm putting it together after sliding the rod in, one pocket came undone on the side and the rod came out. Took it to the a local sailmaker to stitch ALL the four pockets with a much thicker and stronger thread! The thread used by Profoto is ridiculously thin and not strong enough. Not happy since Profoto is supposed to be top notch quality, but obviously it isn't the case. I suggest you do the same if you purchase this 1x6 strip box.

    Would buy it again

does this strip box mount with fj400 strobe light?
    Asked by: Oksana
Hi Oksana, The Profoto RFi 1.0 x 6.0' Softbox can be mounted to the Westcott fj400 strobe. You will need a speedring for Bowens to do so. The Impact Speed Ring (link below) is a very popular choice. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1342075-REG/impact_sr_impv2_speed_ring_for_impact.html

    question

Does this RFi Softbox work on a B1 or B2 head? Will it mount on an OCF speedring? Or, is there a dedicated OCF version of this size?
    Asked by: Ryan
Not sure about the OCF speedring, this mounts on a D1 head with the RFI speedring so I think that's the same form factor as the B1
