I have several of the OCF modifiers and really like them although the quality is much better with RFI. If you are looking for on location OCF may be a better option but for in studio there is no comparison to RFI when it comes to quality.

I've used this Profoto Octa 3' softbox for portrait location shoots and it's a perfect size, not to big, not to small. Easy set up, less difficult putting together than past RFi soft boxes when using with the newer RFi Speed Ring I purchased as well.

Prior to purchase I was concerned about the speed of assembly. I have found it is just as quick as the OCF line. The build is solid and the light out put was spot on.

I have experience with Profoto softboxes so I knew what I was getting. What I didn't expect was the 'new feel' of them. I'm not sure if Profoto enhanced durability with the softboxes or maybe I was using the older OCF versions, but this thing is built like a tank. If the shell gets torn, it's totally on you. It's just so durable. I see this thing lasting me 20 years. The durability and beautiful light you get from this Profoto softbox and slight premium you pay for it make it a hands-down winner.

This is a wonderful light sourced for in door or out door portraits. I recommend this tool for any photographer that wants to soften there lights.

My first profoto softbox, which is a little different the elinchroms I had. It is harder to assemble but it is sturdier.

Purchased this as got tired of the metal beauty dish. I do have one issue, the poles do slide out of the front sometimes when setting up. Wish they had some way of better securing it, seems I have to hold the rods in while hooking up the speed ring as they pop out the other side sometimes even when they are in the little housing for them if not fully secure. The fabric is great and the light is beautiful from it.

Will the older Profotl speedrings for the RF boxes work with this?

Due to the new design and different rod diameter of the rods included with the Profoto RFi softboxes, you must use a Profoto RFi speedring with a Profoto RFi softbox. Other speedrings will not be compatible with this softbox.

The RFi are our most popular softboxes and are ideal for both studio and on-location work. OCF Softboxes are used with our off-camera flashes and are super-portable and lightweight which makes them perfect for remote location shooting.

I just bought the B10 Duo kit. Will the 3' RFI Octobox work on it? If so, what speedring is recommended?

Yes, the B10 accepts all RFI softboxes, & this is speedring is required, Profoto RFi Speed Ring for Profoto Flash Heads B&H # PRSRP MFR # 100501 All OCF Softboxes are compatable when this speedring is added, Profoto Speed Ring for OCF Flash Heads B&H # PROCFSR MFR # 101210

Not out of the box. However Profoto does make a bracket that holds 1-4 speedlights and also has a RFI speedring fastened to it. B&H sells it as does the Pofoto site.
