Tether Tools RS211 Reviews

Holds well after patient adjusting.

Center dial holds all joints in place. Trick for this is the base screw connecting to your rig/mount. It's best to have weight of the mounting device fall on the tightening side of the arm. Despite other reviews saying it will not hold, this is an arm that tightly mounts perfectly with patience. I can get mine set up fairly easily with practice.

These are great. Very solid construction. I have had them set up for over a week holding LED lights that weigh 14.5 oz and they haven't moved at all.

Pretty good

Only used it once so far, but it did the job well holding my 7 Marshall on the camera. Felt almost as good as my Noga arm, which costs twice as much.

Does the job

Using this with an Aputure VS-2 monitor and a Sony NP-790 battery pack. Seems to do ok with the weight but sometimes drifts at the 1/4 connection if I'm shooting for too long at a downward angle, which can be frustrating. Otherwise, handles the weight very well and would likely be perfect with an LED lamp or something like that.

disappointing so far

I purchased this with a 3 Legged Thing bracket to replicate a setup seen on the 3LT website to hold a shoe-mount flash off to the side. The articulating arm would not remain steady regardless of continual attempts at adjusting it.

Pretty good.

They work pretty well and hold up good with my 5 monitor.
