Key Features
  • Clear Protective Filter
  • Blocks Ultraviolet Light
  • 1x Filter Factor, No Exposure Change
  • 99% Average Visible Light Transmission
The 52mm PURE Harmonie Multi-Coated UV Filter from Cokin is a general use, clear filter designed to block ultraviolet light and reduce the bluish cast of daylight. Aside from the reduction of unwanted blue casts, no additional coloration or contrast is created, and adjustments to exposure are not required while using this filter. When the 52mm PURE Harmonie Multi-Coated UV Filter is applied, 50% of ultraviolet light waves are blocked at 380 nanometers, before which they are progressively eliminated, helping to limit the light that enters a camera to the visible spectrum. The appearance of blue casts that can occur while recording video or still photos under daylight that also features ultraviolet light is reduced, preserving color accuracy throughout the frame.

Cokin PURE Harmonie multi-coated UV filters are constructed from Gorilla glass for enhanced scratch-resistance while providing over 99% transmission of visible light. This 95mm PURE Harmonie multi-coated UV filter features a 3.9mm-thick aluminum-alloy filter ring for durability while remaining lightweight. It minimizes the potential for vignetting and includes corresponding 95mm front filter threads for use with other screw-on filters.

To help eliminate internal ghosting and reflections, each glass surface of the 95mm PURE Harmonie Multi-Coated UV Filter features 16 layers of Cokin's EVERCLEAR 5 anti-reflection coating. These coatings are resistant to oil, dust, dirt, and scratches, offering greater protection to the filter and help it to stay clean for longer than with uncoated filters. The coatings are also hydrophobic, resulting in an improved beading effect when in contact with water for greater cleaning efficiency.

Cokin CH235B52A Reviews

Works well on wide-angle lens

It's a thin design that works on a 10-18 mm zoom, and appears to be well-made. Beyond that, what is there to say about a UV filter?

Great!

Using on panny 12-32mm. Very thin design so no vignetting barely even know it's there. Great glass. Perfect match for this little lens.

question

Will this filter cause vignetting if used on a Canon EF 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM (@10mm) on top of a standard thickness UV filter?
Asked by: Anonymous
Because one of the filters you are using is a standard thickness, the possibility does exist that there may be vignette, but it should not be a major concern, as the Cokin 77mm PURE Harmonie Circular Polarizer is designed for wide angle lenses.

question

Will this filter work without vignetting on a Canon 17-40mm f/4 (used at 17mm) ?
Asked by: Christian O.
The Cokin 77mm PURE Harmonie Circular Polarizer Filter is an ultra thin filter that is designed to reduce vignetting. While it has not been specifically tested with the Canon 17-40mm lens, as the Cokin 77mm PURE Harmonie Circular Polarizer Filter is the thinnest circular polarizer filter on the market (and I have used other thin polarizer filters on this lens), this filter should have the least amount of vignetting of any other filter currently available, if any is perceptible at all. As such, this would be your best option if vignetting is a concern.

question

Does this fit the Leica DLUX typ 109 / Panasonic LX100 with auto lens cap like the Cokin 43mm PURE Harmonie Multi-Coated UV filter?
Asked by: Paul D.
No, the lens cap will not work with the filter attached.

question

Can this be used while using the P Series filter holder and filters?
Asked by: Cody C.
I personally do not like the slim filters. I had bought two of them and didn't like them for two reasons - 1. They were difficult to grip to remove, even with a filter wrench or rubber jar opener. 2. Lens caps do not grip well and they easily fall off. I threw these filters in a drawer and bought standard ones.
