The A-Ray Variable Surround Microphone Support from Ambient Recording can mount and support five microphones for capturing audio in applications that require surround-sound, such as in broadcast TV, radio and more. The A-Ray features a center bar that can extend out, a pair of long arms, a pair of short arms, and a center connection with a 3/8" boom adapter. By arranging different arms in plane or perpendicular you can create well known multiple microphone configurations such as Decca Tree, INA and other experimental 3D arrays. This portable microphone support allows you to place microphones at distances from 19.7" to 6.7' The sliding arms or nodes and toothed flanges help support the configuration and allow for quick setup. A carrying pouch is included.
Expandable To Create Larger Setups
By adding more nodes you can achieve setups with 7, 8 or 9 microphones.
Built Light and Strong
Made of aluminum and carbon fiber the A-RAY is durable, light and is easy to handle.
Folds down to a small package that can be stowed away in the included carrying pouch.
