The ACN-TL Tiny Lockit Timecode Generator & Transceiver from Ambient Recording is a temperature compensating timecode generator. Ambient Clockit Network support enables full generator-buffered timecode transceiver functionality. Connections consist of an antenna F connector and two 5-pin Lemos that can be configured for timecode in/out, RS232, USB, GPIO, switching, DC in/out, ASCII, tune signal, and PPF. Drift is less than a frame a day.

    Rated 4 out of 5 by from Rugged. Accurate. Tiny. Expensive Slightly on the expensive side among the other timecode options out there (BETSO SBOX-2RF being a strong contender) At this market price it would be good to have at-least an lemo-BNC input & output cable and an antenna included. Looking at the pictures you would think it will take AA batteries, but since it is small it is designed to take AAA batteries. Hence battery life is not as long as I would have wanted. Lasts a 3/4 (or sometimes slightly more) of a 12-hour production day. Not really the most ideal since we would prefer it to sit on the camera and last the whole day without needing to monitor it. So I check around lunch-breaks to swap batteries and re-jam. If the batteries lasted longer it would be one less thing to worry about during productions, already there will be enough things to worry about. If there was some way Ambient could increase the battery life that would help immensely.
