We ordered two to have at our wedding. Flash didn't work on either and one roll came up blank. Such a bummer. Save your money, don't buy these.

Bought these to place in tables for a wedding reception, and folks got some good shots that the bride and groom were very happy to see. Most color disposables have 800 speed film that looks the gross kind of grainy, but HP5 is just perfect and timeless. A little tricky to find places to develop and those that do charge you for it. But for special occasions. It's great!

Draw of the luck, the camera flash did not work.. I've tried pressing/holding for the flash indicator to turn on, but it never worked. The dial to see how many shots I had left stop working. Picture quality is fine when there is good lighting.

I ship my film to The Darkroom (thedarkroom.com) in California for developing. I have seen that some WalMarts, CVS and Walgreens still will take film/single-use cameras for developing also. And there are other mail-order labs -- search for "film developing" in Google....

Unfortunately, this information is not listed by the manufacturer, however the angle of view is slightly wider than that of the human eye (roughly 35mm).

Has anyone opened the camera to self-develop the BW film at home? Is it possible to access the film without special equipment? Does it have to be rewound before opening?

I do it all the time, but agree that unless you are very careful it is quite possible to get an injury or an electric shock from the flash unit. the place that looks like it is good to pry the camera open takes off one cover and the entire flash unit (300Volts) is fully exposed. I know not to get my bare fingers on the battery to check , but one end of the Battery probably has a high voltage on it also.The roll of HP5 inside looks like a conventional roll, it says 24 exposures but contains 27. Wind the film all the way after the last exposure and the entire film will be in teh cassette.

My single use camera comes with a slot for me to insert a battery -- the AA and the AAA battery do not fit? Any idea which battery I need here? Flash does not work for me without a battery.
