The Kopul ACH4-25MON Line-to-Mic Attenuator Cable is designed to connect your digital recorder (e.g. Zoom H4n, Zoom H6, etc.) output to the mic level input of your DSLR camera with 25dB of attenuation to step down the hot line level audio to microphone level. It features a 1/8" headphone tap that allows you to monitor the signal to your camera and is shielded to reduce RF noise and provide interference-free operation.

The cable provides 25dB of attenuation to assure the output from your digital recorder is at an appropriate level for your camera's mic input. This backup recording can act as a fail-safe for your audio, as well as a reference track for easy syncing in post-production. The cable is 1-foot in length and features straight 1/8" connectors.

    ACH4-25MON Line-to-Mic Attenuator Cable is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 22.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from This cable does it's job I run this cable from my Zoom H4 headphone/line out into a Canon 5D mark iii mic input. The splitter female gets plugged into headphones. It attenuates the line output such that the camera can accept the input and not have to lower the record levels on the camera to near zero. This allows better sound levels at the camera and acceptable volume at the headphones. My only gripe is the price, but that's what you get for a specialty item. Trying to figure out how to add the right amount of impedance to a cable is not how I want to spend my time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Using ACH 4-25MON Line to Mic Attenuator I originally purchased this product to attenuate the line signal coming out of stereo port on a stereo mixer. It didn't work so I called B&H and the tech told me it was not wired for that function. It was built to attenuate the signal coming from a headset out port. So I tried it there and it works fine. My application is I want to get a direct feed off the mixer to go to a video camera external mic port. I'm in contact with the mixer service people to give me some advice on the hook up using the stereo port. I'm using this attenuator via the headset port for the time being.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works great but expensive This seems like a very simple wire that everybody should be making, but it's really the only game in town. This is a specialty tool and I guess that makes the price ok, but you would think it would be cheaper. This is an excellent cable to attach my new Tascam audio recorder to my Dslr. I hate synching afterwards and this wire allows me to monitor the sound while keeping the audio and video on the dslr files, perfect!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pro Audio for your DSLR This great little cable turns your DSLR into a pro stereo recorder, with monitoring on the side. I used it to connect a Zoom H4N recorder to my Canon t2i camera. I was able to record the mixed stereo track directly to the camera, bypassing the need for separate audio recording, and avoid any sync issues. Works like a charm!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A must for dslr video It makes it easier to sync audio from my dr-40 which provides a test tone which makes it really easy to sync audio if I don't want to use audio from camera provided by ACH4-25 which is almost indistinguishable from the dr-40 just wish the attenuation was 20db instead of 25db.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It works It works. I use this to connect my Tascam audio recorder to my DSLR. I love that this has a heaphone monitor line out! Great for DSLR's that don't have a headphone out, like many of the entry level Canons.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Glad It Exists I am happy to be able to purchase this as it enables my Canon 70D to use my Zoom H1 to record audio when I am recording video. It seems like a lot to have to pay for a simple item though.
