Hello. I have a Canon Pixma MG5420 all-in-one. I am looking for XL ink cartridges and finding conflicting information. Your site reflects that you have a multi-pack that will work. On another site I checked it indicated that the XL's (non-black) were only compatible with refurbished 5420's.Do you see any problem with these working in my printer? Thanks much.
All Canon MG5420 printers can use the CLI-251 or CLI-251 XL inks.

What is the difference between the CLI-251C XL High-Capacity Ink tank and the standard? The information on the two accessories is identical but the price is not. How many more pages can you print?
Canon's high capacity ink has about 40% more ink then the standard size cartridge. Due to the many variables there are to determine page yield (coverage, resolution, paper type, etc) Canon does not publish this information.

This would have an estimated 11ml of ink. and the regular size would have 7ml

The CLI-251 XL cartridges offer better ink longevity and would allow you to print many more times than with the standard CLI-251.

What is ml. difference between CLI-251 AND CLI-251XL?
Tracy is not comparing apples to apples, she is looking at a pgi-250 XXL black ink tank which is twice as big as the XL cartridges, as far as saying one will get 2+ times the amount of pages printed with an xl cartridge 11ml as opposed to a standard cartridge 7 ml - ???? how does one double the output with out doubling the amount of ink >? some kind of magic >?

do c, m, y XL fit mx922 printer or are they too wide?
I own a Canon MX922 and only use the XL ink cartridges, including 251 BK XL, 251 C XL, 251 M XL, 251 Y XL and 255 PGBK XXL. They all fit fine. According to Canon, they hold more ink than the regular cartridges.

Interesting, if the XL has 40% more ink but is 50% more expensive it would seem that the standard cartridges are a better buy wouldn't you think??
