The ZEISS Apo Sonnar 2/135 ZE was designed for cameras using the EF mount. ZEISS does not recommend a particular type or brand of adapter when using this lens on a camera using a different mount. When selecting the adapter, care should be taken that the correct 44mm flange focal distance is maintained and the electronics used in the adapter does not cause damage to the lens' CPU.

is it an auto focus lens?
No, it is manual focus. There is focus assistant beep/light. This is my first manual focus lens and now it is my go to lens for portrait. It is easy to get used to it and I bought another manual focus lens since. There are situation, my canon 85mm/1.2L is still preferred.
