Xcellon DP-VGA reviews

DisplayPort to VGA Adapter is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Almost perfect I bought this after I lost the one that came with my laptop. If I had known how good it is, I would have bought it sooner. Nothing too amazing, but a bunch of little things are just better. For instance, my old adapter would pretend to be a monitor, which would cause my laptop screen resolution to change the moment I plugged it in. When I use this one, the screen resolution only changes when I plug in the monitor, which means I know whether my laptop can talk to the monitor or not, which is very useful for troubleshooting. (In case you wonder why I have so much trouble with my monitor: I don't. I use this to connect to a projector when I'm giving a talk and I have slides. The projector in our conference room can be a bit moody.) Also, it has this neat thing where you can't accidentally unplug it. (Of course, I'm still used to my old one, so I keep trying to yank it out when I'm done, and then I remember that I have to push the thingy to unlock it first. Oh well, I said almost perfect.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simply amazing I replaced my mother's aging computer with a Chromebox, and wanted to keep her monitor. I found this because the Chromebox has both an HDMI and DisplayPort, but no VGA. I was a little wary about this setup, but it worked flawlessly. I am happy to have found this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Make your work life easier! Don't be dismayed by the short cable, as it's only an adapter to connect your original monitor cable (which is plenty long enough) to the display port.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Adapter I used this adapter with the Matrox Triple Head To Go that I also purchased from B&H. It worked great! Very sturdy and secures nicely to VGA cable.
