The Bosch MIC-IPIR-PS-24 MIC IP-Enabled Power Supply Unit with integrated Bosch IP technology provides connections for power, telemetry, and video for the Bosch MIC550IR camera. It features IVA-enabled, integrated Bosch IP technology and provides video and control over IP for the camera.
The PSU (Power Supply Unit) lets you install your camera in a variety of locations, including in low-voltage areas, and allows for mobile applications. It is UL, CE, and FCC approved and supports 50/60 Hz input. The PSU housing is IP67-rated for high tolerance to vibration / shock for both indoor and outdoor installations.
The PSU comes with a built-in encoder providing DVD-like quality H.264 video at up to 25/30 ips over IP networks. It provides dual streaming (2 independently configurable video streams) and bidirectional audio communication in addition to video streaming, and supports Bosch VCA algorithms. Moreover, the unit comes in an RAL 9010 (pure white) with sand finish.
The PSU comes with built-in video content analysis and the motion+ video motion detection algorithm. This motion detection algorithm is based on pixel change and includes object size filtering and sophisticated tamper detection capabilities. The PSU offers advanced video content analysis (VCA) applications with its Intelligent Video Analysis (IVA). The enabled option bases the IVA algorithm on digital imaging technology that uses multi-level image analysis of pixel, texture, and motion (trajectory) changes.
The PSU offers good recording flexibility by allowing you to record on network-attached iSCSI RAID storage devices or locally on an SD or SDHC card (32 GB maximum, sold separately). The built-in iSCSI support enables the PSU to act as a conventional DVR while streaming high-performance live video across the network.
Dual Streaming and Dual H.264 Recording
The PSU uses dual streaming to generate 2 independent IP video streams per channel if sufficient computational power is available. This allows viewing and recording at 2 different quality levels to save disk space and bandwidth. If the alarm goes off, the PSU can send an email to you with JPEG images attached. Video can be recorded centrally on iSCSI drives managed by VRM (Video Recording Manager) and additionally on the local media.
The MIC PSU features a highly flexible recording scheduler, providing you with up to 10 programmable recording profiles and allows you to individually assign camera profiles. With these profiles, you can accelerate the frame rate as well as increase the resolution on alarm, saving recording space during non-alarm periods.
The PSU offers various security levels for accessing the network, unit, and data channels. It supports 802.1x authentication using a RADIUS server for identification as well as password protection with three levels. You can secure Web browser access by HTTPS using an SSL certificate that is stored in the unit. For total data protection, each communication channel-video, audio, or serial I/O-can be independently AES encrypted with 128 bit keys once the Encryption Site License (sold separately) has been applied.
The PSU lets you view the videos on a PC using a Web browser via the Bosch video management system or by integrating it into another video management system. By routing the IP video to a high-performance VIP XD HD video decoder module (not included), you can present the video with clarity.
Bosch Video Client Surveillance Software
The bundled Bosch Video Client software (included) offers a user-friendly interface to support easy installation, configuration, and operation of up to 16 cameras (A license upgrade, sold separately, adds support for up to 64 cameras.). The PSU's wizard allows the configuration of multiple cameras simultaneously using an auto detection device.Multiple cameras can be monitored in one screen and video clips on the SD card can be archived and searched in a single application.
The PSU conforms to the ONVIF specification, which guarantees interoperability between network video products regardless of the manufacturer. ONVIF conformant devices are able to exchange live video, audio, metadata, and control information. They are automatically discovered and connected to network applications such as video management systems.
You can remotely upgrade the PSU via IP whenever new firmware becomes available to keep your product up-to-date.
