With 6x magnification, a 1000-yard range and the ability to measure angles of terrain for true distance, the matte black Scout DX 1000 Laser Rangefinder from Bushnell helps you find and range your target quickly. It can measure to a reflective target 1000 yards away, a tree at 650 yards, and a deer at 325 yards.

Bushnell's E.S.P. Turboprocessor technology provides 0.5-yard accuracy and 0.1-yard display out to 199 yards, while the Angle Range Compensation feature provides true horizontal distance out to 99 yards in Bow Mode or bullet drop/holdover in inches, MOA and MRAD in Rifle Mode.

The Scout DX 1000 offers Brush, Bull's Eye and Scan targeting modes to suit conditions, rejecting unwanted readings from surrounding objects. Variable Sight-In allows hunters and target shooters to program the rangefinder with their rifle's zero at 100, 150, 200 or 300 yards, and also displays shot angle to plus or minus 90°. All measurements, mode indicators, and the aiming reticle are displayed on the in-view LCD screen, and the user can choose whether readings are displayed in yards or meters. A rubber armored water-sealed housing equips the Scout DX 1000 for use in the elements. At 4.0 x 2.9 x 1.3", the unit fits easily in a pocket.

Scout DX 1000 Laser Rangefinder (Matte Black) is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Scout DX 1000 Laser Rangefinder I use this for long range rifle shooting. Device works as advertised. You can choose the modes that you are range finding for (Archery, Rifle shooting, golf, etc) The only drawback (and I assume that this would be on all range finders) is that you have to be VERY steady in order to get a reading on your target.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product Used bushnell rangefinder in colorado on a elk hunt and was very satisfied. Ranged tree tops out to 460 yards with no problem. Very easy to use except for bullet drop measurement. Bullet drop given in inches, which meant you had to compare to your drops for your scope. Glad to have rangefinder on trip.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Rangefinder I have not used for the hunt but have checked it out in the bushes. I set it for rifle and provides the distance in large letters in the lower portion of the viewing scope. Easy to read and easy to use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great buy! I'm primarily an archery hunter and do an annual rifle deer hunt as well. This Scout DX is the perfect fit for me and my application and the price was right, especially for capability out to 1000yds.
