Nikon WR-T10 Transmitter

This Nikon WRT10 transmitter worked with my Nikon D850 camera and the Nikon WRR11a receiver. It also worked with my Nikon SB5000 Flash when not mounted on the camera shoe mount. Be sure to select the same channel as the receiver.Ex: 5,10,15 . Pairing took only a only few seconds. The WRT10 uses a CR2032 coin battery (included). The WRR11a receiver does not use a battery,it is powered off the camera. After everything is paired... when you turn on the camera & flash , the transmitter ,receiver and flash are all ready to shoot. No buttons to turn on. Most flash settings are performed from the cameras menu. You don't have to walk up to the flash to change settings.Ex: Flash output power.etc.

I just love the new transmitter. No more cords or wires.I can trigger the camera when I am making copies of slides or photos with out touching the camera. If you own a Nikon than you need this controller.

You can focus from it first and then take the shot! Just make sure back button focus is not on and set your timer to about 5 sec or more so you can hide the remote before the shot(s).

Works with Z7 but the function button doesnt do much.  The only option is to shoot a raw image but since I already shoot raw, its useless.  I wish it could be configured to do something else.

Very easy to set up. I purchased this device as all my other remotes required the 10-pin connector and, with the WR system, it's not available. This provided the missing link - a wireless remote.

Flimsy Transmitter

This WR-T10 transmitter set works perfectly on my D850 cameras except for one MAJOR design mistake. If you don't loop the tiny safety string around your finger or watch band, the flimsy plastic transmitter (the WR-T10 part) will break into several pieces if it's dropped. The little battery drawer will pop out and the battery (which isn't secured, just sitting in a circular collar) will disappear somewhere where you can't find it. Now you have a worthless piece of plastic in your hand in the middle of an important photography job. If this happened to me in front of a client, that transmitter would be going into the trash. This time I was home alone. I found all the pieces. But the lesson has been learned. If any part of this set breaks, I'm done with this Nikon accessory. Very flimsy. Very sad.

I will never use it as the receiver needed is no longer available. Would not have made the purchase had I known that.

I don't know if this helps, but I started using my Nikon WR-T10 August 2018. I have not had to replace the battery yet. I use it for night photography about 1-2 times per month. Dianna

question

Is there a remote shutter release device that will work with a Nikon CoolPix P520?
Asked by: Anonymous
The camera does not have any type of traditional wired or wireless remote control option available for it. There is an optional Wireless Mobile Adapter that is used to transfer images from the camera to a smartphone or table (Apple iOS and Android types only), and it has a feature that will allow you to control and trigger the camera from your phone or tablet. See the link below for details on the device:http://bhpho.to/IrYjPO

Mine did not come with a strap. So, I added my own from a supply I keep on hand. It’s hard to hang onto otherwise.
