Nikon WR-A10 Overview

Create an advanced wireless camera system with your Nikon DSLRs and Speedlights by picking up the WR-A10 Wireless Remote Adapter. This unit connects to select DSLRs with a 10-pin connector and allows users to use the WR-R10 Wireless Remote Controller, which functions as a transceiver to wirelessly trigger the shutter release or to control radio-capable Speedlights such as the SB-5000. When paired with the WR-R10 on select DSLRs users can operate one camera as a master to trigger multiple connected cameras at once from up to 164' away.

This system is compatible with the WR-1 and WR-T10 Wireless Remote Controllers for remote operation of all the cameras in the system. Also, three radio frequency channels are available to limit interference with other systems in the same location.

One optional WR-T10 Wireless Remote Controller can be paired with an unlimited number of cameras with an optional WR-R10 Wireless Remote Controller attached.
When used with the WR-R10 and connected to select Nikon cameras with a 10-pin connector, users can designate one camera as a master and control the shutter release of up to 64 WR-R10 units.
Range from a WR-R10 set as a master to other WR-R10 units is 164'.
When controlling Speedlights, up to 18 radio-capable units can be paired to a camera from a range of up to 98'.
Two link modes are available: PIN, which is designed for professional workflows, and Pairing for a simple connection.
Three radio frequency channels (5, 10, and 15) are available to prevent and limit interference with multiple pairings or other systems.
Can be used for triggering the shutter remotely when using slow shutter speeds to prevent camera movement.

I'm using this with my WR-T10 and WR-R10 on my Z9. Works great, I've owned the WR-T10 and WR-R10 for years. There is nothing better than this setup.

Great but breakable

I have a love/hate relationship with this item. I love how it lets me use my D850 with my SB-5000s so effortlessly. But I started out almost losing it in the grass at the beginning because I didn't use the strap to keep it attached to my camera. I'm a lefty and the way I use it seems to unscrew the attachment and eventually it comes out. Then within a year the WR-R10 just died on me, which was under warranty and replaced. Then a year later the whole base just snapped during use. Luckily I don't need it for the Z6, but I'll get another one so I can still use it with my 850. It's much better than Pocket Wizards for me still, but wish it was more durable.

DOES IT WORK WITH THE Z7II. CAN I USE IT TO TRIGGER MY SB700 FLASH?
Asked by: Barbara
This does however work with the Z9. If you purchased the WR-R10/WR-T10/WR-A10 Wireless Remote Adapter Set you can use the WR-R10/WR-T10 Wireless Remote Adapter portion without the WR-A10 with your Z7II. I use it with my Z7 all the time.

question

Can I use this with the Nikon 7100
Asked by: Anonymous
No, this remote receiver is not compatible with the Nikon D7100. The D7100 does not have the required 10-pin connection to connect the system to. Below is a link to a similar type of remote control which will plug into the D7100s remote control port and will wirelessly trigger the flash via radio transmission.
