The black webbing with gray stitching and red loops A4 1.75" Camera Strap with Aluminum Quick-Release Adjuster from Vulture Equipment Works is the top of Vulture's line and the big brother of the A2 version. The A4 contains a quick-release system that contains an additional safety wire that prevents accidental release of the quick-release. This quick-release system is somewhat similar to that found on parachute rigging. In order to activate the quick-release, you must pinch together the two brass ears that hold the quick-release together. This releases the system and allows you to disengage the two metal buckles on the strap. Attached to the strap is a "Remove Before Flight" tag that alerts you to the fact that the quick-release system is engaged.
This heavy-duty 1.75" wide strap contains 1/2" webbing that backthreads through your camera's strap lugs. The two straight gate carabiners serve as additional attachment points but can be disengaged from the strap and connected to your backpack.
The two carabiners are attached to two low risers that contain the loops that connect to your DSLR. If you prefer single point connection, disconnect both carabiners from the strap and clip them together. This provides extra strong support when the strap is hanging around your neck. The A4 1.75" Camera Strap with Aluminum Quick-Release Adjuster is made in the USA (with the exception of the quick-release) and backed by Vulture Equipment Works limited one-year warranty against manufacturer's defects.
