Just what I was looking for so I could mount my video light and my wireless receiver for the lapel microphone both on the camera shoe at the same time! Love the adjustability features.

Fully adjustable, and can easily fit two wireless mics or a combination of light and mic.

I use this with my Canon 5D Mark III, usually to hold a shotgun mic and a 7 inch monitor.

Once again the right product, with quick delivery has been the correct combination.

Seems like a great product. Well constructed and solid. I ended up sending it back, however. Not because of the product, but because after trying the deal where I use this to mount audio recorder atop my DSLR, it all just seemed awkward and difficult to balance. I'm finding that I personally prefer using longer cables and mounting other things somehow away from the camera, keeping the camera freer and nimbler. That said, if I were to change my mind, this product seems like a much better option than the plastic ones.

No instructions. Without this photo I'd never figure it out, but probably most would. Anyway, it does the job well.

Are the lock nuts plastic or metal?

Are the lock nuts plastic or metal?
Asked by: Roger L.
On the basis of Victor's reply, I bought this. But what I received today has plastic lock nuts. Not sure if I'll keep or return. (Deciding.) FYI, it's also 5 & 3/4" long, not 6". That also makes a difference. I was going to use two 5" monitors, side-by-side, one for focus assist on a 4x zoomed portion of image, and exposure (by waveform on bottom 1/3 of same screen), and the other just for composing the shot. But the monitors overlap 1/4". Fooey.

question

Can the bottom of the mount be slid down the rail so that it can be mounted off center for balance?
