    Sony BCTRX reviews

BCTRX Battery Charger is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 29.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better Than Average Battery Charger It used to be chargers came with the camera. Now Sony, obviously desperate for cash, has made it a $ extra. The RX100 camera comes with an internal charger, which means you have to plug in the entire camera to charge the battery. For those who want extra batteries, an outboard charger is needed. This is a good one, no complaints there. Only the high extra cost and the whittling down of what comes with a camera.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light weight portable charger as advertised, easy to use. Large enough to charge but small enough to take with you. Once I got used to how to insert the Sony NP-BX1 into the charger, all worked well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for traveling The camera doesn't come with a battery charger. You have to charge the battery with the camera connected to the power. Two drawbacks, one you won't be able to use the camera while charging the battery, two if you travel internationally I wouln't feel confident connecting my camera to the power. You have no idea how reliable the power is, probably you don't have any surge protector, this will give you the peace of mind the the camera is safe. If you loose the battery is not such a big deal, loosing the camera is major dissater. With this you can charge the extra battery and use the camera at the same time. Note if you use a watson battery you have to place it 180 deg (flipped) or it won't charge. The contacts are reverse from the Sony. Otherwise it works perfectly fine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A vacation saver I own several small Sony Cameras including the DSC-HX50V, HX-400V , and a DSC-RX100N2. They all take the NP-BX1 battery. When I am on vacation, or traveling, which is most of the time I take along all three cameras plus extra batteries. In-the- camera charging can take a long time, enter the BC-TRX battery charger, it charges in a fraction of the time. Plus it can be quick charging one battery and I can have another camera plugged in and charging at the same time. MAKE SURE WHEN YOU PLACE YOUR BATTERY INTO THE CHARGER YOU PLACE IT UP AGAINST THE RIGHT INTER WALL OF THE BATTERY CHARGER, THAT WAY IT WILL MAKE CONTACT WITH ALL OF THE TERMINALS ON THE BATTERY. The charger will light up a series of lights to tell you the condition of the charge, one light 30-60% charge, two lights 60-90%, three lights 90-100% charge, when all three lights go out, you are fully charged. This unit is larger because it charges quickly and needs extra electronics to do the job. Consider this when you travel. But if you take mega pictures every day like I do, carry extra batteries and take this charger with you and you will not miss a shot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent charger for Sony/Hasselblad Stellar batteries Excellent for home or travel. Multi-voltage. Charges many Sony batteries. Compact considering its flexibility. Well built.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fast Charger This thing charges the batteries in about 25 minutes. It's way faster than trying to do it via USB on the camera.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Wall-Mount Charger The product allows you to charge your batteries apart from the camera. Batteries charge much faster than using the charger that came with the camera (RX100M4 in my case). If your battery is not positioned properly in the charger, an amber flashing light will be displayed. The charger can be used with several different type of Sony batteries.
