    ASUS X202E reviews

VivoBook X202E-DH31T-PK 11.6" Multi-Touch Notebook Computer (Pink) is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 26.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Little Computer! This computer is exactly what I was looking for. It is so lightweight and compact that it can easily be carried in a handbag. I love the touchscreen option. It's awesome when scrolling pages. The only problem I have encountered so far is my wireless internet connection being dropped but it was was easily remedied by installing an updated that was issued by Asus. One thing to be aware of is that the vent is on the bottom so it is almost essential to have a lap desk.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from ASUS added ADP! I bought this to replace my wife's damaged Toshiba satelite (she spilled coffee) which had costed us double of this 6 months ago. She uses this for business and travels with it. This is an economic laptop, that is very functional. At this price, I wasn't expecting something as polished as the Toshiba, and it isn't. But this is still pretty good, functional, feature rich laptop. At this price having a touch screen was bonus. The hidden surprise was that ASUS included one year of Accidental Damage Protection (requires registration) ! Had I known ahead of time, I wouldn't have bought square trade protection that I did.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent computer! I bought this for my 4th grader and she loves it. She had no problem getting use to Win 8 and the touch screen. It fact the touch screen made it so much more fun to use. The screen is great although a bit glaring, the processor is faster enough for what she needs and best of all the machine runs cool. The machine looks very solid with one piece metal frame. The only complain she has is Win 8 is always updating and rebooting. Overall great price and buy.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Product broke down after three days I have bought this computer and three days later it stopped working altogether, the screen did not show anything and it was practically unusable. The service I received from asus was terrible, they replaced the motherboard and screen instead of supplying a brand new computer. They replied to each of my queries one full week after it being sent after stating that a representative contacts you within 48 hours max. Bottom line: not recommended

Rated 4 out of 5 by from NIce budget touchscreen laptop We purchased the X202E for my wife when her old laptop was dying. After looking around, I was impressed that we could find a laptop in this price range featuring a touchscreen and core i3. While Haswell would certainly be better for battery life and i5 or i7 would be faster, you won't find those in something close this price range right now. The touchscreen is very responsive. I can't tell you how nice it is to have a touchscreen on a device this size. It makes the experience so much better. I also have a Surface Pro and regularly use a Macbook Air; the lack of a touchscreen on the MBA is a constant source of frustration now that I'm used to having one. ASUS updated drivers a little back, and the touchpad, which had been a weakness, now functions perfectly fine. It is also larger than on many budget Windows machines. That makes it a lot easier to use the Windows 8 gestures if you don't want to reach up to the screen. The resolution is decent enough on a screen this size, especially for this price. But don't expect it to wow you like a full HD display. We specifically wanted the i3 version b/c it was the fastest of the current crop of these 11.6 VivoBooks. In terms of speed and multitasking, it holds up quite well. Again, it's not a top-of-the-line laptop, but it is very good for this price range. The overall appearance of the computer is also nice. Although I can use them without lots of extra typos, the keys are a little too cramped for my liking, but they fit my wife's hands pretty well. Build quality is also better than I expected. If you're looking for the a great budget laptop, this may fit the bill. It does for us. The biggest draw for us was the combination of very portable size coupled with a touchscreen at this price point. We are very happy with the purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Im generally happy with this product Great lightweight computer, works well, efficient and smooth. Touch screen is really nice. Great price. I'm so happy with the computer in general. The downside is that the touch screen is not as effective or sensitive with web browsing for me. It works great for scrolling pages, but not so consistent with clicking on things specifically. Also, wish Windows 8 didn't have a million updates. Wish they would make their operation less complicated and more Mac-like.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Little one with alot of UpSide While our time was limited (returned for larger laptop) I was quite impressed with the comfort and features of this 'lil' guy. The screen was clear, easy to view and access. The design is light and compact; perfect for someone looking for a very portable machine with realistic capabilities.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Steal for the Price I use this product for some light CAD and graphics work (show clients drawings) and use it mostly as a travel laptop. Most of the heavy work is done on a desktop. For the price, I couldn't ask for more. It's a solidly built product that is easy to transport. I run older versions of AutoCAD, Photoshop, etc to this more than adequately meets the minimum specs of those programs. Might not meet specs for newer types of these programs. I let my mom borrow it to surf the web and peck out some emails and this is more than adequate for that purpose. Only gripe is short battery life. Not really too much of an issue because I only meet for clients for an hour so I can charge it up between meetings if necessary. Powerpack is also very small. Overall great purchase and would recommend to others.
