    Custom Brackets RF-PRO reviews

Rapid Fire PRO Flash Rotating Bracket with 1/4"-20 Mount is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 24.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Compact bracket, but... I am using this bracket with my Sony A77, to connect the flash on it, so avoid any weight on the camera hot shoe which is sadly a bit weak to handle heavy flashes. So I really like the build quality of this bracket and how compact it is. The rotation flash bracket is also very appreciated. The problems I have seen while using this bracket with my Sony A77, is that the 2 anti twist brackets for the camera mount plate cannot be adjusted sideways, in fact they are touching my AF buttons on the camera body. The other reason which stopped me from giving this product 5 stars is the price! the price is really high compared with similar Pro brackets.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not cheap but a great bracket They thought of everything when they designed this bracket. Like other brackets, it keeps the flash in the right position above the camera in portrait or landscape position. The bracket snaps nicely into place in both positions and what's key is there's a cutaway for your left hand to zoom or even focus manually (which I've had to do when shooting parties with low light). Build quality is great and it folds up so it's easy to fit into my bag. I've had other brackets that were awkward to store. The height adjustment makes it perfect for a body with or without a battery grip. I didn't buy the quick release plate yet but I probably will.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good Bracket could be better RF-Pro Nice basic design and I used it frequently. The major issue with this item is, as stated by other reviewers, that the camera retaining screw always comes loose after a short amount of use time. I explained this to the manufacturer at the Photo Expo 2 years ago and told him my fix. They have done nothing to improve the item. I use a heavy piece of rubber between the camera and the bracket to cut down on movement and loosening of the screw. I installed a longer slotted screw with a locking washer. Don't need an allen wrench, just a simple screw driver or swiss army knife. It helps a lot. If you use a bounce card on your flash, this is the smallest bracket to use that I have found.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Best Flash Bracket Awesome bracket. Very sturdy and convenient. Unlike other rotating flash bracket, the flash does not move even when you shake the camera. It's definitely the Rolls Royce of Flash Bracket. I rate it 4 star due to its price. If it was cheaper, I would definitely rate it 5 star.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Should be better! I do not honestly understand all the favorable reviews on this bracket. It is a great design, AND, it should work better - not only for the price, but as a piece of equipment for professional photographers. The purchase and use was my first bracket. I understand that it is not a one size fits all. I have a Canon 5dmkiii, and I would be in trouble if I did not always carry the allen wrench and screwdriver. It jiggles loose from camera body, and flash loosens on top. Very upsetting in the middle of an active shoot. The design should probably include some rubber fittings to snug things down. Also, difficult to add any thing additional, such as camera strap or hand strap. I purchased the additional part to use with Spider belt, but that was a disaster, and really too much to attach to belt. I am debating returning, but do not know that I will find another that works any better... I am going to look into the quick release, as it is a chore setting this up, and then removing if I decide to go without flash.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Flash Bracket To Have I used the RF-PRO bracket with the canon 5D Mark III. I took some shot with the RF-PRO in both landscape and portrait and the results are amazing. The RF-PRO is wonderful, no plastic, it is light weight, durable, convenient, easy rotation and easy to use. It stands up firmly when the fold leg is open. The canon 5D Mark III sits firmly and securely on the camera plate also the flash fits firmly on the flash plate. The camera plate can be adjusted to accommodate other DSL camera. I like where the flash sits, away from the forehead. When the RF-PRO is folded up it can be packed away in your camera bag very easily. I love this bracket. So if you are looking for a flash bracket, I recommend you get the RF-PRO.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally! A great flash bracket I average 80-90 event days a year and pretty much used my Newton foldeable bracket into the ground. Upgraded to this one and it's even better. solid and all metal construction, no worrying about having a hex key to tighten up the baseplate when it comes loose in the middle of a show. I can check tightness while walking to my next photo op while on the show floor. The positive lock from vertical to horizonal is awesome - don't have to worry about the flash flopping over while moving from place to place. Very excited to put it thru its places at Viva Las Vegas next week.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Completely Stoked I had been waiting for someone to come out with this arcing design rather than the flip design, and I couldn't be happier. I bought it before I realized just how many fantastic design features it incorporates. The anti-rotation feature for the camera body is fully adjustable, the same for the flash shoe, and there are adjustments that allow the lens axis and flash to be in perfect alignment, as well as height adjustment. I have been using the QR rotating bracket since they first came out about 15 years ago and it still works perfectly. I plan to use this bracket for all of my hand-held work ( as it weighs about 1/3 what the QR bracket does) and continue to use the QR for my tripod work. I also purchased two of the 18inch Vello TTL flash cords, which are a perfect fit for this bracket as well as the QR.In their retracted form they span neatly from the body to the flash, and have just enough stretch for unrestricted rotation
