114-55mm Threaded Universal Step-Down Ring is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 4.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Huge time saver I've owned the OConnor O Box WM for a few years now, and I'm constantly swapping threaded diameter step down rings for different assortment of lenses. They are stubborn and if pushed or bumped by an AC while changing lenses, they can fall out of the rubber bellows, which slows us down even more. I finally pulled the trigger on this, and I'll never look back. It is so smooth to just plug lenses into, but the cloth is light tight and stays tense to it's original shape once a lens is removed. It's the best of all worlds - no hard mount to get in the way or not fit quite right, no big black bag with a drawstring to get in the way or not quite cover all gaps (or on smaller lenses, envelop the whole lens), and no loose lens donut flopping between your lens and matte box. If you own an OBox and don't have this yet - Buy this now. Simple as that

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Product After realzing that the larger donut was a bit too large for some of my smaller glass, I ordered this ring for my Obox and it is GREAT. The flex material is totally lightproof and completely envelops the lens, ensuring no light leaks. I was a bit worried about the material stretching out and and not being taut after using different lens sizes, but it seems to contort right back into form, even after using it for 2 weeks straight with different lenses. This is a very clean and elegant solution as opposed to rubber donuts that don't always fit right or stay secure, or step-down rings that might not always fit EXACTLY the way you want. No need to carry any of those accessories around anymore, stump up for the (admittedly high) price and do it right. It's worth it to not have to worry about the aforementioned issues when using filters. NOTE - while this is made clear on the page, to reiterate, you NEED the bellows ring to screw this into. But frankly, if you're shelling out the kind of money for a mattebox system, that should be a no brainer anyway!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from grinded off threads for use on Misfit Atom mattebox 15mm Re: title - worked like a charm. The idea with BT's larger mattebox using their 143mm Black Hole is that it clamps into the mattebox, and can be used with a variety of lenses with the stretchy black material. Unfortunately, they do not yet make a Black Hole for their 114mm Atom box. I rent all sorts of lens packages determined per project, and have been dealing with finding/buying the correct assortment of step up rings and donuts to match each show. Finally, I took the gamble on this, figuring it's 114mm threaded, and might fit into the Atom's 114mm clamp mechanism. It turned out it was just a hair too large, so I tapped into a local metal shop and ground the threads off. Not the prettiest solution but now this OConner ring fits nicely in the Atom and functions pretty much like a Black Hole for their larger mb systems. Only thing that's missing is the inside threads to throw a circular polarizer or similar in. An unfortunate drawback, but still a better solution that dealing with handfuls of adapters. As far as the OConnor itself, it's probably a step up from their old one with the thin black rubber that eventually rips. I don't expect this cloth material to last forever though, and note that it'll get waves in the inner diameter so sometime a very small diameter lens might not be 100% shielded and you'll have to finagle it. There's small holes around the edges so perhaps the material is replaceable. We'll see how well it lasts. Hope this helps anyone else in a similar conundrum! Cheers
