Starquad TRSM-TRSM Cable (Orange, 20') is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Canare Starquad I've only had these for a short while but they get the job done well. I use them to connect my audio interface to my balanced monitor inputs. The build feels solid. They are located in an area with hardly any EMI but if they were in a noisy area, I'm sure they would stand sentry all the same as quad is known for this. I had a generic y-adapter before that wasn't balanced. I did sound comparisons back to back with the generic and the starquad Canare, and at first the generic actually sounded better. Upon disappointment I switched the left and right speaker (because one of the speakers cones is slightly dented and then the Canare sounded better. So I don't know as far as sound quality. It's really hard to tell. Starquad has higher capacitance which leads to high frequency roll off.. but only at really really long lengths. The highs actually sounded better, it was the bass that seemed to be lacking ever so slightly, but once again it could have been my speakers, room acoustics, or just my mind, who knows. The cables work, feel like they're built well, and so far the sound is clear with no noise.
