Canare CATMF Reviews
Great Extension Cable
I can't say it's built like a tank because tanks aren't flexible. I can say it's a well made cable although the connectors are a bit bigger than I thought. It dwarfs my Sennheiser headphone cable but plays nice with it. The 1/4 female lock release took a little getting used to as it requires two hands. The spring is fairly strong in the release. I can tell this will last a long time and I haven't noticed any sound degradation. I will say that since this is a special order item it took about 3 weeks to receive this item, not the 5-7 days has initially indicated. We still live in a world of supply chain issues so that could have been the reason why. I wouldn't think it would be fair to affect the rating as it has nothing to do with the product's performance.
High Quality - You get what you pay for
Quality is very evident. The jacks lock into the cable and can't be pulled out without pressing the button. The quality of the sound is great...no issues with bad connections, static, pops, channels going out like I had with the comparable hosa cables. And the cables are thicker and well built. All my hosa cables failed in less than a year. I fully expect these to last many years.
Finally! A quality, cost effective headphone cable
I've had 2 of the low end HOSA headphone cables fizzle out on me and was sick of having to replace them. This is the way to go - it's a high quality headphone cable with high quality plugs/jacks, and is cheaper than going to one of those MAKE YOUR OWN CABLE websites. Only downfall was the long time it takes to ship (2 weeks). Plus, it sounds way better (especially on a long cable run)
Coded Perfect
Quality connectors on this cable and the numerous color options make this perfect for studio use! The female connector locks onto its male connector so they won't be accidentally pulled apart!
robespierre
I did much research to find this extension cable and nothing on the markets matches in quality or in price. The construction is solid and the TRSF end has a lock so headphones don't easily separate. I have one complaint about shipping. The cable was sent via FedEx from Brooklyn to my address in Manhattan. USPS would have been much faster since FedEx shipped this item to its Allentown, PA facility and back. That is a ridiculous amount of wasted energy just to ship a small package across the East River.
Perfect Materials and Build
I needed a cable to extend the reach of my headphones, and while this cable is not cheap, it offers thangle-free flexibility, durable cable and connectors, and secure connections on both ends.By comparison, a similar $$Hosa cable with molded connectors lasted only a couple of hours before I started getting clicks and disconnects as I moved around. You do get what you pay for with this cable. The only downside is the week it took to prepare the cable before shipping, so plan ahead.
Solid
Well constructed. Good sound at distance.
Great Cables.
I use Canare cables almost exclusively in my Studio. Best cables for the money out there....
