The Shutter Release Cable for Sky-Watcher from Celestron allows the multi-purpose Virtuoso mount to trigger a Nikon D90 or D5000 DSLR by connecting the Auto-Image port to the camera's remote terminal. This imaging accessory enables the mount's Automatic Shutter Release function to control the camera and capture panoramic or time lapse images without the user having to do any work, after the exposure time and firing parameters have been set.

Sky-Watcher S20313 Reviews
Works as advertised!
I'm using this with a Nikon Z7ii on a Skywaterch Star Adventurer Mini, and it works perfectly.
Not sure if working...
This is required if using the Sky-Watcher motor drive but I'm not sure if it is doing what it should. It goes into the GPS port of the D90 and is a tight enough length that it doesn't flop around when attached to the camera and motor. Once I get deeper into using the cable and motor versus just using a manual shutter release (which goes into the same port) I'll have more.
It's a cable!
Of all the cables, this was the cablest. I'm so happy that this cable came, because without it, I didn't have a cable. Now that I have a cable, my camera can now connect to things! Worth the price.
Replaced a very bad REO cable
After much cussing for the last 3 lightning seasons and many unanswered emails complaining about the inferior lose fitting cable with no response, I was able to replace with the bad cable with a Sky-Watcher cable thru B&H. I did get a standard cable from the other group but the SW is far better.
Cable
This is a cable. It works. And is long enough to connect a camera to the Sky Watcher.
It works well but a bit too short
I works OK with the Star Adventurer Mini, but it is too short for use on a Skywatcher telescope mount like the AZ-EQ5.
