The Thunderbolt Express Dock from Belkin features three USB 3.0 ports, two Thunderbolt ports, one FireWire 800 port, one Gigabit Ethernet port, one 3.5mm headphone output jack, and one 3.5mm audio input jack. The plethora of ports allows you to connect a variety of devices to your computer via this dock allowing for enhanced data transfer speeds. You also benefit from the ability to daisy-chain up to 5 Thunderbolt devices helping to eliminate the need for extra cables to connect multiple devices. Once configured, the integrated cable management channel helps keep all of your data cables organized.
I have a thunderbolt display and a mini display port display. For some reason apple won't let these devices daisy chain directly but you can put another thunderbolt device between them and daisy chain that way. I am curious if this work around works with the Belkin thunderbolt dock? So basically this doesn't work - (Macbook Pro) -> Thunderbolt Display ->mini display port monitor. I'm curious if this setup works. (Macbook Pro) ->Thunderbolt Display ->(Belkin Dock)->mini display port monitor.

I have read where daisy chaining thunderbolt external hard drives is not recommend per the LaCie, which is why I bought the Belkin Express Port. I like the Belkin Express port, but does not have enough Thunderbolt connections for my backup needs, but so far has worked well. From what you described I don't think that set-up will work, but my experience on your set-up is limited. My GUESS is that is would not work as the Belkin Express port would need to be directly connected to the MacBook Pro in order to function properly, again merely a guess. Wish I could have answered your question with more confidence and experience.Sincerely,Ross
