Fujifilm Superia X-TRA reviews

Fujicolor 200 Color Negative Film (35mm Roll Film, 24 Exposures) is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 107.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Another knock out cheap film I have been using the Portra line for a while, but this Superia 200 (and the 400) really have surprised. The 200 has fine grain - seemingly as fine as Portra 160, but more saturated and brighter colors. If that is what you are looking for then it is ideal. I have my film processed, then scanned. I do not order prints until I have first edited the scanned images. This way I know that when I do order, there will be no surprises. The resultant images will be exactly what I had in mind. It seems that anyone who has had 'off' results is from letting their 1 hour lab develop and print them at the same time. Like in the old old days - and a sure fire way of getting mediocre results. Highly recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GOOD STUFF! Comparable to Provia 100 but in terms of a C-41 film, this film offers a superbly neutral grayscale, good but not overblown saturation, and fine grain. Porta 400 is finer grained if shot at E.I. 200, but lacks the grayscale neutrality and is slightly less saturated. Don't be fooled by the low price - this is a fine film. I find the 24 exposure rolls well suited to my shooting style and the low cost gets me shooting more often, which is what it's all about.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A redscalers gem I shot this film normally as it was and found my photos lacked range. I usually shoot slide film or professional color negative film and if I want normal color photos I'll stick with them. However, if you want a easy on the pocket film that looks amazing redscaled, this is the film for you. I metered it at ISO 12 after redscaling the film, and I find that gives the best results for my taste.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Film Fugi 4 layer Technology super I shoot Pro Film SLR and digital SLR cameras Process my Color Films at home C-41 process in my Dark room great results this film has a natural Brightness and natural color saturation better or equal to Digital camera pictures. I Scan finished processed rolls of film with my Commercial Scanner a roll of 24 at one time DX coded great scans and sharp pictures AIFF Files. Then teak in Light room 5 very little tweak's saturation only if any very little No noticeable color shift in the print or adjustment needed. I hope that Fuji continues with making Color Films as this is a great Film and great value.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great General Purpose Film This film is great for those that want to start shooting film after shooting digital. This film gives excellent sharpness and color fidelity. Photos in daylight and with flash come out great. If you are testing a camera, going back to film, or want to replicate digital color fidelity, this is the film to shoot. If you are looking for high color saturation look elsewhere. The colors in the photo below are EXACTLY what I saw with my eye.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Film Good Price Photos have excellent color and contrast, however have a rougher grain. If you shoot for the film look this is the film for you.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Versatile Film This is a versatile daylight film with great color reproduction and a fine grain. I shoot with classic rangefinder cameras from Konica and Canon, and have been using this film on bright overcast days, with better color accuracy than lower ASA films.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Can do anything in a pinch I use this film in my Nikon F100 for holidays, family events, general outdoor shots and used every roll I had on hand to shoot a friend's wedding when his professional photog bailed out at the eleventh hour. The film performs superbly.
