Fujifilm Superia X-TRA reviews

Fujicolor 200 Color Negative Film (35mm Roll Film, 36 Exposures) is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 48.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Another knock out cheap film I have been using the Portra line for a while, but this Superia 200 (and the 400) really have surprised. The 200 has fine grain - seemingly as fine as Portra 160, but more saturated and brighter colors. If that is what you are looking for then it is ideal. I have my film processed, then scanned. I do not order prints until I have first edited the scanned images. This way I know that when I do order, there will be no surprises. The resultant images will be exactly what I had in mind. It seems that anyone who has had 'off' results is from letting their 1 hour lab develop and print them at the same time. Like in the old old days - and a sure fire way of getting mediocre results. Highly recommended.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A redscalers gem I shot this film normally as it was and found my photos lacked range. I usually shoot slide film or professional color negative film and if I want normal color photos I'll stick with them. However, if you want a easy on the pocket film that looks amazing redscaled, this is the film for you. I metered it at ISO 12 after redscaling the film, and I find that gives the best results for my taste.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Can do anything in a pinch I use this film in my Nikon F100 for holidays, family events, general outdoor shots and used every roll I had on hand to shoot a friend's wedding when his professional photog bailed out at the eleventh hour. The film performs superbly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great film! On a recent trip to Italy, every shot (5 rolls x 36) came out fine. Completely satisfied with Fujifilm quality. Not too contrasty, color rendition vibrant, crisp and sharp.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Superb color and texture I'd almost given up on color film, preferring B&W. This film was great, esp. shot through a 28mm lens but also nice with a 50mm. I was using a Ricoh KR-5 Super II manual SLR. I shot a roll around my childhood home and was stunned by the textures and colors of a summer morning. I'll use this from now on for color experiments (but I won't give up on black and white!)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great film I found this film to be excellent! I'm a photography student and purchased this film for my class and have found it to produce very beautiful, vivid photographs. Even my professor and fellow students have commented on the extraordinary quality. I've only used Kodak in the past, but I think this will be my film of choice from now on. Highly recommended.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from not quite what i expected i was not overly impressed with this color print film. i had hoped for richer colors, but found them to be unexciting, overall. i'm a relative newcomer to film photography, and still experimenting to find a handful of films that capture things in an interesting or realistic manner. the images that i took with this film came out sharp, but colors were definitely not enhanced, nor even a good reproduction of what i saw. that being said, i had a couple images that surprised me.
