The Rosette Extension Arm for Sony FS700 Camera from Wooden Camera comes with Sony FS700 style rosettes on each end. This arm can be installed on camera body to relocate FS700 grip further from the camera. This extension arm is suitable for handheld configurations when the grip needs to be close to the lens, similar to an ENG style rig. The rosettes are made out of aircraft aluminum and utilize 1/4"-20 threading which is standard on the FS700.

Overpriced but functional
Bought this to extend the hand grip that comes with the Sony FS700. Used in combination with a set of follow focus rails and the Fotsay shoulder pad that slides onto the rails. This gives me a quick and simple ENG/docu style shoulder rig without having to swap out systems or carry additional gear. Just slide it off the tripod and go. The extension arm is also great for accessing the record button when the camera is in high or low to reach positions. The quality of construction is solid. The only reason I rated this three stars is the price. Very expensive for a piece of machined metal and LANC cable. There might be cheaper options out there but I needed something solid, dependable and immediately.
Get the job done
Simple and sturdy, definitely a good tool to have. However, users need to be aware that the extension arm is bent toward the outside, which is comfortable for the arm and wrist, but will naturally push the upper-left side of the camera body against your head, which leads to inadvertently pushing settings buttons. We compensated that problem by simply sticking a little strip of rubber joint (the same you would use for your door or window) to act as a headrest. It would also have been great to be able to reverse the arm to bend UNDER the lens to allow for more balance when the position does not allow to counter-balance with the head and the other hand has to stay light for focus racking.Unfortunately the mounting screw can't be reversed and there is no rosette on the other side. Also, the provided extension is in fact ridiculously too long; a short coiled wire would be much more practical. This being said, it's a light and sturdy piece of gear.
