    Smith-Victor Pro-4500 reviews

Pro-4500 Tripod with Pro-4A 3-Way Pan Head is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Beware of Wobbly Shoes We ordered five of these for my school's Video Department. On two of them, the camera shoe would not mount securely to the tripod head. No matter what, the camera would wobble. I returned these two in exchange for the SV ProPod III. I belive the ProPod III is a better tripod for video for the same price. B&H made the return process easy, this is just something to look for if you get one of these. Other than that, it's a pretty decent tripod. The two handled head makes it work well for photo or video. My only other complaints are that it doesn't get very tall, and the pin you pull to relase the shoe is a little hard to pull to get your camera off.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Durability and Stability I've been using this tripod for almost two years. Actually, to be honest I've been abusing this tripod for almost two years. Over +100 gigs it has taken a beating, been exposed to salt water, sand, mud, and has been crammed into my gear cart with lighting and BG stands many, many, many times. Regardless, it has held up beautifully. It's a tank, for sure. I've never had any issue with stability or wear and tear on the twist locks. I'd buy another for backup but I really don't think I'll ever need one. This tripod has held up much better than my Bogen gear.
